Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / Master cylinder res mount
« on: 08 April 2015, 10:15:22 pm »
evening
Mate has given me a brembo master cylinder to fit on my fazer
I've fitted these in the past to other bikes and normally mount the reservoir on the clip on mount
But I'm struggling with the fazer

Any chance of some photos of the reservoir mount?
Thanks

Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / clutch lever pivot
« on: 17 February 2015, 06:56:47 pm »
Evening
had my gen 1 Fazer since Sept and the clutch lever has always had a wobble!
I bought the bike of a mate who fitted aftermarket levers but I know the standard levers that were fitted when he bought it wobbled too
After looking at microfiche there's a spacer in the pivot but the hole thru the spacer is bigger on my bike than the diameter of the bolt that secures lever.
Can anyone confirm that the bolt/spacer is correct?
Before I start buying parts;-)
Thanks

Fitted renthal bars:-) straight forward job just need to tap out for bar ends now

I got a set of R&G bar ends for Renthals they seem to be proper weighted unlike the Renthal bar plugs which are just that....plugs.........what sort of adhesion did you use for the switch gear out of interest......i went a bit mental on my night shift and ordered some handlebar tape that the lunatic mile munching cyclists use on their bars but usually a bit o whatever tape is lying around seems to do the trick.

Just used insulation tape, the rh side was secure without the tape the lh needed the tape.
Think the standard bar ends are m16 x1.5 ill check at work on Monday and hopefully sort a tap out

Ill have a look at the r&g bara ends though

Might be an odd question but is there a specific name of the gold shade?

My red and black gen 1 would look good with gold I think.

Cheers
Lewis

I think it is called "My Big Fat Gypsy Fake Gold Necklace Colour Gold" available in all branches of Cash Convertors.  :D

Started out cleaning the brakes last week and a few other minor jobs
Anyway ended up having wheels powder coated and shock out for a proper clean!
was having second thoughts bout the colour but once I picked them up knew I'd made right choice:-)

Was my mates idea, said u fancy getting a duel headset pack so went halfys
I was a bit sceptical at first but it's been a great decision, really added to a ride out especially in the Alps
Also dead handy as my mate has no sense of direction easy to give him directions

I couldn't get on with the speakers inside the lid so I bought custom fitted in ear speakers
Works a lot better
all the controls are on a jog wheel and a single button
Had phone calls from people and they couldn't belive I was traveling at 70mph at the time

Only issue I've had with the Sena is in torrential rain for 6hrs across Germany the until took in water and stopped working! But a submarine would have leaked that day;-)
