Hey gordon

My knowledge is very limited but from reading stuff on here i dont think any of the parts are the same, not to say you couldn't get creative though.

I do believe i read a post recently where someone used a thou rear shock on the 600,it's in here somewhere fairly recently, thou owners are generally ditching their standard shocks & going for the R6 shocks so original shocks are popping up.

Believe it or not mr xlewis actually has an orange 600,check out his videos & stuff but be careful though coz orange bikes seem to have a tendency to be thrown down the road  :o  sorry lewis!

Rear torque arm wont fit! But a trx or thunderace does  i have one on mine.as for rear shock i dont think it will and why bother? If the thous are swapping to r6 units then try that route

The 1000 rear shock apparently fits with some modifications. Although it's not a brill shock by modern standards its better than the standard 600's unit, with preload, rebound and compression adjustment. It's also rebuildable, unlike the 600 (unless you fit a Schrader valve).

Still waiting on Bwizz to confirm R6 shock fitment to the 600, and it's still an unknown whether the spring & damping characteristics will suit a bike 20kg lighter. Remember, an R6 shock fitted to the 1000 uses the 1000's shock linkage ratio....the 600 *might* be quite different

Besides, the problem with chasing R6 shocks is that of demand.... you will be competing with R6 owners and Fazer 1000 owners for the units. Whereas you will compete against no-one for Fazer 1000 shocks on ebay (and so should be dirt cheap)

bootz the rear torque arm will fit just push the caliper round the spindle slightly this is what I done when I had my 600.

Sorry I should have stated it was a fzs1000 torque arm I put on mine. (there is at least three of these on ebay at the moment Gordon so go on put one on)
