Its a worn clutch basket its shot just bought a low mileage engine will swap the basket and rebuild the newer engine raise compression etc

Thank you my engine has about 70k miles on it but i just bought a 34k engine with  exhaust studs damaged for £120  :lol

Are there other yamahas that use the same clutch basket etc as i cant find a good one
I want to modify one and not have my bike off the road

I have refused to fit them for about 10 years because they are known to leak i use genuine only

No its a strange one i am tightening and slackening the cable all the time
I was doing a hill start the othere day then pulled the clutch it would not dissingage tightend the cable it was fine then 2 miles down the road clutch was slipping had to slacken the cable again

i am doing up a neglected 03 and doing suspension now i got the 08 r6 shock
drilled the top to 12mm got 2mm spacers for the top
found a very helpful guy on ebay that has all dogbone size
if you want standard hight its 130mm i wanted to lower mine so got 134mm so just under 20mm lower

always had kawasaki but wow better then my z1000
