only the fazer 1000 and xjr1300 are a fit the rest will nee major mods to work

cleaning the wont make any difference you need to lap them in if they are leaking no easy way

could be jetted different for the other exhaust

put the other one back on see if it goes back to what it was like if it does the quiet exhaust is fooked

might be jetted for the other exhaust , or is it just because its quiet making you think its lost power

if it has the switch for a pass light it must work as for 2 h1 lights depends pn the reflector one could be hi beam and one could be low beam either way it has to be e marked and show a proper beam on low and hi beam or it will fail

if you think its the tyre try taking off the front mudgard off and try it could be the tread causing wind rush through the guard making the noise if it goes away try  altering the height of it odd the tyre i have 023s on mine and never notice any tyre noise

thats not how you adjust a manual tensioner you  wind it in by hand with your fingers then when it stops you back it out 1/4 turn its on the ape site who make them

if you can get someone to help you it makes it alot easier to fit the barrels to the the pistons as for the o rings at the bottom of the barrels they should be fine as is

FZS600 Fazer / Re: Cylinder head removed

if the barrels have moved opening up the gasket then replace the gasket , think about it this way if you dont you might get away with it may be , but if it leaks then you have to strip the engine back out and replace both gaskets again  as  reusing a head gasket could cause leaks and then you have to take it out again and replace both agaain see where im going with it do it right do it once

checking the valves is easy enough get the online manual and go through it that way as for shims you can either get them online ebay fowlers yambits etc but check first as sometimes you can swap about if your lucky but if not use the chart to make sure you order the right size

deffo the speedo drive take it out  and re grease  it be careful to put it back in properly or the lugs will break off

they are made so you can adjust them without the  aid of tools so when in traffic and the clutch gets hot you can adjust it
