FZS600 Fazer / Loosing power ???
« on: 27 May 2017, 06:15:20 PM »
Hi all,

On my way home from work on Thursday my red beast started playing up, it's getting to about 60mph at about 6/7k and the engine is straining as I'm pulling the throttle and the noise from the exhaust is like that noise when you let go of a balloon. I thought it might be crap or a bit of water in the fuel so I've flushed it through with fuel cleaner and also given the carbs a good blasting with carb cleaning spray, the air filter is clean and there is no pinching to the fuel pipes, I also checked the spark plugs and they look fine but I'm still getting the problem, as I'm no mechanic I'm at the end of any ideas that I think it might be so any help or advice is very much appreciated and needed 😁👍

I was thinking that maybe there is something stuck in the exhaust but then surly if there was wouldn't that noise and straining happen from the start rather than just at higher speeds?

Also something I just noticed today as I was working on it that the rev counter when trying to simulate the issue while on the paddock stand would go a bit crazy just after the straining starts happening so could it be an electrical fault or could that just be due to the engine struggling causing the counter to not be able to read properly and just confusing the system?

FZS600 Fazer / 2002 Carb or fuel injected?

Need to put my mind at rest as I got into a bit of a tet-a-tet regarding the enging on the fazer 600 yesterday.

So is a 2002 FZS600 a Carb engine or Fuel injected?

I was a bit silly this morning, as some asshole in a black fiesta fecking pulled out infront of me on a roundabout early this morning and very nearly took me out so I stupidly chased the foccer shouting at him and giving him all the hand signals I could think of, I was so close to smashing pieces of his car off but thankfully I managed to snap out of it and get well clear, so pulled into a side road and calmed down. The twat just looked at me with a blank face as if he had done nothing wrong.

It was very stupid of me to chase him as I put myself and others in possible danger, but it just goes to show how easy anger can take over your actions.

I'm just glad I was able to snap out of it when I did as I was all ready to drag the twat headed hoodie baseball cap wearing little foccer out of the car and beat the little shit to a pulp.

Stay safe everyone and don't let this happen to you.

FZS600 Fazer / LED bulbs?
« on: 20 October 2016, 11:54:08 AM »
Hi all,

As we all know the head lights on the BOXEYE fazers are crap and as I don't feel confident in doing the modifcation as shown in a thread on this wonderful forum I'm looking at the cheaper option of LED bulbs just until I can build up funds and go all out and get the lights changed to these fantastic projector kits:

My question is (as I have spent the last week or 2 trying to find simple replacement LED design bulbs) can any of you wonderful people that know this kind of thing show me what LED bulbs to get that are a simple swap over from the standard bulbs?

As I've seen thousands, but with different watts and I have no FOCCING idea what watt I need in LED format. All I want is brighter lights to get me through the winter until I can get those projector headlights.

Thank you in advance for any help you wonderful people provide  :D

General / Pimping Accessories From China
« on: 05 July 2016, 02:34:22 PM »
Hi all,

I looking at slightly pimping my ride with a few mods and I'm currently looking at some Red & Black CNC machined handle bar grips as well as some brake and clutch leavers on Evilbay. They are going for a cheap price and from the pictures they look really good but my concern is that they are from China as I have heard some horror stories about Cheap items from China. So thought I would ask the question here, if anyone has bought cheap Chinese parts like what I looking at and what there experiences were with them? - Handlbar Grips - Brake & Clutch Leavers

FZS600 Fazer / Help me FOC-U you're my only hope
« on: 03 June 2016, 09:29:14 AM »
Hi all,

I'm having electrical issues with my 1999 Fzs600. It started last week and has been getting worse, the speedo and rev counter go nuts and cut out, at stages when this happens I pull the throttle and strains and makes a knocking noise. I have checked any connections as best I can and they all seem fine. I had it hooked up to my car to check if it was a dying battery and when connected faults seems to go. So bought a new fully charged battery and fitted it at the shop and all seemed fine until about half way home it shared to happen again, managed to get home and not it will not start properly, when the ignition is on it makes that clicking noise from the solenoid but for ages rather than just a few seconds. When it does finally fire up pulling the throttle it just strains and makes that knocking noise but when any electrics are activated eg the headlights that noise goes but all other faults still going on. Also I seem to now have lost an indicator but the bulb is fine and I should also mention that when all the cults are happening there is a lot of little popping and backfiring noises coming from the exhaust.

Hello all,

New guy here, just wanted to say hi and looking forward to drinking in the help and Knowledge from others and hopefully being able to share any of my, be it minimal knowledge.

I recently purchased a 1999 FZS600 Fazer from my friend and it's the best bike I've ever bought or rode, so much better than my last bike which was a 1991 FZS600 Genesis.
