« on: 02 April 2017, 10:59:10 PM »
Welcome!! I am back myself after a few year gap, I moved to London and that place is horrid for riding!! Finally picked my little boy back up today after he had sometime in storage!

I too love a bit of 4 wheel off-roading at the weekend, or 2 wheel off roading! Or climbing or snowboarding or shooting !!

(in a blind date stylie)

Hello *waves*

I left my whole biking family behind and now have no one to go out to play with!

« on: 28 August 2013, 08:55:45 PM »
Just wanted to pay my respects to a fellow Foccer on here....
He was a personal Friend too and we had many a mad rides out...
unfortunately the fortunes of the bike gods took him from us 2 weeks ago while he was touring in France with another friend....
The downside to the life we all lead, Unfortunately the fight between an over taking bike and a lorry pulling out without looking always ends bad for us bikers....

His funeral is Friday here in the UK..... he was a brilliant lad with much respect for the biking world and the power behind his bike..... I know he would have died doing something he loved.....

RIP Louis... I hope you still ride with us.....

« on: 02 July 2013, 03:15:23 PM »
Well all, I had no issues with this until recent...
now I can not do any journey without an oil patch forming....
I have the rubber seal to replace but just haven't got the time to repair it..... have to keep topping the oil up too....
now had to replace the battery and need the front fairing replacing  :'(

I think the biking gods have fallen out with me

I can honesty say that I have never faced anything like that said or aimed at me....

we are all bikers regardless or race, sexuality or sex....
I am a gay female and I never get any shit off any one from here only advice and help....

That's what biking is about, community and support.... a cuppa, a fag and ribbing each other about pussying out of going round the bends!

I suppose hanging around with 20bikers daily kinda rubs at any smooth polished professional surface I have to have while managing them all at work  :lol

« on: 23 April 2013, 05:06:21 PM »
I started riding with a Pillion the day after i passed my test, i knew that she would always be on the back so i wanted to get used to it as quickly as possible.

i usually get myself set (leave side stand down in case they are heavier than you expect) and hold the front brake to stop the bike rolling forward.
get the to get on like you would a horse, then hold onto the grabrail if you have one, or you if you have the Love handles mentioned above....

The first time my mrs hit me in the back of the head, i pulled over told her if she did it again she'd be walking back......

ive attached a link from MCN with some hints and tips
http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/RidingEvents/ridingeventsresults/Riding-skills/2006/November/Aug17-05-How-to-ride-with-a-pillion-incorrect-pics/
hope it works...

Good luck!

FZS600 Fazer / Re: Does exhaust leakage matter?
« on: 14 April 2013, 11:17:40 PM »
i have a micron Exhaust and also have a small amount of leakage....
this is usually normal and is the condensation from when you first start up the bike.
ive never failed a MOT or had any problems with it....

ALSO, the popping noise is awesome, especially if you're going under a bridge or through a tunnel! :lol

lol i have the blackout blind option and curtains too..... except my window is HUGE and its difficult to get the blackout blinds to fit exact causing the light bleeding effect!

ear plugs are a must even though i live on the top floor of an apartment block... i use a pair of PJ bottoms and wrap them around my head too....

hows everyones shifts going then?!

« on: 12 April 2013, 10:32:41 PM »
hey! bad times mate but dont get too down hearted......

i fell off mine twice in my 1st month of riding...

im 2years in now and (touch wood) havent had another bash since.....

My mrs crashed her bike the other day on her 1st ever ride out after passing her CBT and just carried on....

Keep your chin up, believe in yourself and your bike and you'll feel better....

hope bikes better now...!
Thanks Ton13  :D

Lol no probs!
how is the bike now? just read through some of the replys and i definately agree with learning to counter steer etc... it took me ages and im still not as quick and fearless as the others i ride with.... luckily for me my friend used to race and takes brilliant lines when riding so i can follow him.... if he can do it then i know it can be done...!
 :D
