I have  a 2007 model and just taken mine off to check and I have the original one in, was hoping the previous owner had changed it but no luck. It looks perfectly fine but not sure if I want to risk putting it back in for the sake of a couple of hundred quid. I think I'll be ordering a new one but I'm not paying Yamaha prices of over £600  :eek . I'm going to go with the cheaper one at £220.

Did you try and remove the radiator cap to see if the coolant was actually boiling?
Sounds like your bike runs hot generally, min sits between 78 and 85 on every ride unless I'm sat in traffic

Same here and the fan kicks in around 100.

I'm contemplating changing the colour of my gen 2 but undecided as to what to change to. Has anyone got any ideas as to what they would do if they could? Current colour is Teal green, not a great one I know, but the rest of it looks good. Looking to paint the tank and the rear fairing and possibly the new belly pan.

I quite fancy a darkish metallic or pearl but there's so much choice!!!

Been out on the bike a few times in the last few days and have noticed that I can only do about 40-50 miles or so before it starts to feel a little bit uncomfortable on the seat, has anyone else had this? I pull over and have to stand and walk around for 5 mins or so before I get back on, seems strange too as I have got a comfort seat...don't know...maybe it's just me getting old  :lol

Does anyone else think it strange that the R rate in Germany is going up but they have resumed football matches? Also that Italy have now said they will allow travel into and out of their country from the 3rd June?

This was the item on ebay, it took about 4 weeks to arrive after telling me it was 4-5 days but I got it in the end. It's marginally better than the standard screen and looks quite a lot better and it's stable at speeds up to 90 as I haven't gone over that speed with it. The sellers comms was excellent and even refunded me when I didn't get it so I have to pay him now  :rolleyes

As I've said before do these lies ever surprise you. Every government lies through their teeth because the country can't handle the truth. The main reason for the lies is they would never get elected again.

He said not to use public transport "if at all possible". The media are conveniently picking out parts of any quote to get headlines.

Public transport is going to be operating at something like 30% of normal add in social distancing a 60 seater bus may be 20 as you can't sit near the driver.  There going to be full pretty dam quick, it's unworkable that why the press is picking up on it.

I'd also add I wouldn't be filled with joy at the thought of having to use a bus, train or tube at the present time, it's playing Russian Roulette!

There in lies another problem, can your employer force you to take public transport to get to work because they insist you go back to work and this is your only way of getting there? If you are afraid of using the public transport network then can you stay at home on furlough?

Just a thought

I don't know what the problem is with the guidance, It's not that hard to understand just use common sense, as I'm sure all of you have, and stop knocking everything they do...you can't change it. We are all, supposedly, in this together are we not?  :rolleyes

I think we are on the same page haha
We certainly are

Seems to me that no matter who is in charge or what the government propose there will always be people who don't agree (or moan) about the steps they've taken. I listened to Boris earlier and he clearly said from the outset that the lifting of these measures were subject to change if the R rate goes u
