I'm not exactly the biggest fan of Christmas, but I must say Winter Wonderland in Hyde park is pretty impressive this year. It's worth a walk round in the dark just to see the lights and watch the bonkers rides even if you spend nothing.

Lights? What's so foccin great about lights? Have you only recently been introduced to the joys of electricity?
If you want to see something awesome, go stand on a mountain top on a clear day.

And YFF's post is as far as I can stomach reading on the subject. I hate Christmas so much, I even hate this thread, and the fact that I have chosen to comment in it. And I hate that stupid foccin phrase, "bah, humbug".

I would bet my next month's wages that there are thousands of people in the UK who would love to be able to celebrate Christmas and would happily swap places with any one of you.

Sorry to piss on your big bag of humbugs but I love Christmas. I love the songs, the films, the cards and presents (getting and giving) the food and drink, the decorations and the time off work, although I agree that glitter can get a bit annoying :lol I don't like winter and Christmas is a happy time during the darkest time of the year. It would be a long drag to Spring without it.

Foxeye Fazer FZS 600:

0-60mph in 3.8 seconds

Kura, just for the sake of clarity Tommy has quoted the specs for a silver bike. The black version, yours and mine you will find will be much faster at 3.1 seconds. Instead of getting it de restricted you could try a blue FZS 600 as they are the slowest at 5.5 seconds

 :agree

Fingers, rear sprocket, chain, turn wheel. I'll leave the rest to your imagination
Wrist, rear sprocket, etc. etc.

Thanks for the feedback, I don't ride through the winter nowadays, I did 7 or 8 when I first started riding and decided I didn't like it but I have decided not to hibernate the bike this year, so I may get to ride it on dry, mild, cloudy days. I'll make sure I warm them up before I do my version of going for it in the dry and be careful in the wet until I get a feel for them. I don't entirely trust online customer reviews, some people will badmouth anything if they have a keyboard in front of them but I trust you guys to be honest. :thumbup

Hi, sorry to kind of hijack the thread, but I think it's kind of relevant, I've got Dunlop D209 Qualifiers fitted, they're virtually new and I haven't had any issues with them so far but I haven't ridden in the wet yet and I'm a bit nervous about the first time I get caught out because I've read a few reviews saying that they're scary in the rain, has anyone here tried them? if so what did/do you think to them

FZS600 Fazer / Re: What are my rear shock options ?
« on: 25 November 2017, 01:59:23 PM »

Maybe another option to consider. I fitted one on mine. It's not done many miles but feels really good so far.
I paid £339 from Bike Revival, Made to order (weight, riding style, Pillion and luggage use etc.) I got it in 4 days.

I had these on my BMW and had them removed before I sold it. I'm going to fit them onto the Fazer when I work out how to fix them to the engine bars. They're incredible and were still working perfectly after 3 years but they're not very cheap.

This is the one I was looking at before I got my engine bars, not the radiator covers just the belly pan.

I read a couple of weeks ago that men over 40 shouldn't be wearing jeans at all, or hoodies or logo tee shirts or trainers. Looks like I'm going to have to change my entire wardrobe.

For Sale & Wanted / Re: FZS600 Ohlins Linear Fork Springs £60
« on: 01 November 2017, 08:56:13 PM »
Hi Tommy, I fitted a new rear shock and a Hagon progressive fork springs earlier this year, the shock is great but I'm not that impressed with the springs so I need to either play with oil levels and/or grades or swap them out for linears and go from there. I've contacted archangel about them but haven't asked about the spring weights. If I get them I'll see how they feel and maybe upgrade with YSS emulators if I think I need them. Like I said to Archangel, I don't object to spending money on the forks if it makes a noticeable improvement to their feel.

Bought the Daytona a year or so back and the Beemer this summer. The Fazer’s not on the road at the moment unfortunately  :(

Love the look of the Daytona 955, sharp looking sporty bike, not so keep on the horizontally opposed cabbage patch though, much to costly if you throw it up the road.   :eek  Person opinion of course.
it's the Daytona that would float my boat .  :lol  great looking machine

But Tommy... It's blue. Don't you have a pathological loathing of blue bikes?

FZS600 Fazer / Re: Petrol Cap woes
« on: 27 October 2017, 05:15:51 AM »
Just a thought but maybe it's because the petrol vapours dissolve any grease or oil that is used to lube it and dry out the mechanism.

Mine's still working perfectly at 10,000 miles so I'm hoping that regular lubrication will help to keep it that way.

Hi, welcome to the mad house. The 600 Fazer's a great choice to save for, it's not only a good starter bike, many of us on here have been riding for years, it's a great bike.
Just don't go buying the 1st cheap one you find, there are a lot of real snotters out there and it's easy to get your fingers burnt. It almost always costs more to make a cheap bike good than to buy a good one in the first place. Have you got anyone who knows about bikes who can point you towards a decent one? Good luck with the saving, we all look forward to hearing that you've found one. They're a knowledgeable and patient bunch on here so feel free to ask any questions. Just a word of advice, there's a guy an here who goes by the name Tommyardin, the chances are he'll tell you at some point to buy a silver one... Don't. They're really slow. :lol :lol
