FZS600 Fazer / Touring windscreens, what you got?
« on: 05 October 2015, 03:25:47 pm »
So took the fazer on a 3 hour trip the weekend (i dont do it often as i live in guernsey and it's TINY here) getting up to speeds i'm not used to and the wind was killing me (not to mention thick fog) , i'm 6'2. Just wondering if any of you have changed your screens to something more user friendly to take that wind over your heads, i'd be interested to know what you have got.

Hey guys, my xenon retrofitlabs headlight conversion kit has arrived with no instructions (which is a disaster if you're completely crap with that sort of thing like i am) so any help on installation would be a massive welcome, be interested to hear from others who have bought the retrofitlabs kit as well. Cheers, ride safe!

Think i'm going to go with the retrolabs kit, pricy but they seem top notch and come with everything you need.

That is one sexy looking fazer, where'd you get the box from? I am just thinking throw over panniers and a rucksack with a cargo net on the back seat may be less hassle, haha.

changed it today, it wasnt loose enough that i could turn it with my fingers but it didnt take much with the wrench at all, came right off, i tightened it to 80. Was much easier than i thought. Next is to save some pennies for the retrofit labs headlight conversion kit so i can see where i'm going in the dark, cheers all!

My dad used to race motorbikes when i was a kid, so i always like them but i didnt really get in to them properly until a year ago! i bought myself a little 125 scooter to get to work, quickly figured out i loved riding but i hated scooters so i bought a fazer, the rest is history, well and truly hooked.

Great video Panthor, very helpful, i'm thinking after 4600 miles mine would take a lot more work to get the nut loose than yours? Got the confidence to do it myself now though and will do so soon enough, cheers!

Yeah that is what mine looks like, i can see the thread like that on mine when i shine a torch down on it, i will get it done sooner rather than later just for peace of mind, if it came off and wrecked anything i'd kick myself and my missus would rip my other nuts off over the hefty repair bill haha

Brilliant, thanks. I have had a look with a torch and I can see some thread, it's not flush but if I'm not going to have a problem because of the bikes low mileage I will get it done at the garage when I take the bike in for its yearly service in a few months time :)

« on: 13 July 2015, 12:19:43 am »
Hi guys, passed my test last week, now planning on doing some serious miles. I have heard about the problem with the nut on the  sprocket (the front nut?) coming loose and falling off, well that sounds bad and i dont want it in the back of my mind, before i buy a new one is it possible to check myself that it needs replacing, what do i need to look for? Any help much welcome, cheers.

FZS600 Fazer / Custom made fazer t shirts and mugs
« on: 12 April 2015, 09:55:07 pm »
Hi guys, i dont know if i'm allowed to promote my dad's buisiness on here, it is a small family run venture so i am trying my best to help them out, if it's an issue i'll take it down or whatever.

He is basically able to print t-shirts with any picture you like, same goes for mugs, so if you want anything with your beloved fazer on take a look at the website, good prices!

FZS600 Fazer / Road legal nice sounding exhaust.
« on: 03 March 2015, 07:16:46 pm »
Hi peeps, new to biking, learning as i go mechanically (not much experience at all) i have a 99 fazer and i would like to put a new exhaust on her to give her more of a voice, i dont want something that is going to piss the neighbours off to much but i want a nice tone, also what is required after the exhaust is fitted, are they plug and play or do i need to make adjustments elsewhere to compensate for the new can? give me your recommendations and tips, much appreciated!
