It’s very loud without the baffle and spits flames out.

I was out today with a group that included an MT09 Tracer. My FZS600 is as quick as the tracer. I liked the tracer before I discovered that :pokefun
Another ex-Fazer rider that is a foccer again

Doesn’t that depend on the rider?

To be fair there is far less in it than I'd imagined

https://motoperf.com/motorcycles/Yamaha-MT-09-2014-379290/and/Yamaha-FZ600-1998-367086

Only 20bhp between them, a slight difference in power to weight ratio but if you look at the gear speeds they really are neck and neck
Although I have just noticed the torque difference is quite significant so the fz600 would have to stay up in the rev range to stand a decent chance.

I think it would definitely come down to the rider in a proper race between them

:agree

I was wringing the neck of the FZS vs a quick rider on the Tracer
