Funny how the option doesnt exist to delete a profile.
Can mods please delete this profile.
Pretty please.
Thanks
-
why?

In case his wife catches him wasting his time :lol

Mods - which OTHER User logs in on the same recorded IP Address as "rainbowwalker"? Name and shame. :lol

Who says it's not his wife who's created an account to check up on him 🤔🤔

That will be something for Aegis to look at. My access is not enough to get that information.
-
How do you delete a profile?
By not drawing attention to it.
-
Rainbow-walker hasn’t any personal details shown on his profile, nor posted much info other than some of the bikes he’s owned and that he was 47 earlier this year, I think his best course of action is just to not bother logging on here again if he’s lost interest in using the site.
Perhaps the facility to set password, IP addresses used and email to a null value would be a good idea. That would provide complete untraceability even in the event of the site being hacked.
I’ve been on other sites where deletion of a profile was taken to mean everything, including posts by that user, was erased. The result was that old threads became extremely confusing with loads of replies to things that were no longer visible. I’d rather not see that happen here.

No other reason other than I believe its my data/details and I have the right to be deleted (which becomes mandatory come next May unless there is a reason for holding onto personal data).
Its weird that many forum sites dont give an option to delete your data, and what do you think would happen if they were hacked and lost your data (Im thinking username, password details etc..) ? Yes I'm sure its securely held, until someone hacks it.
I'm just minimising the data that is held, not posting does not achieve this as my details are still held. Think of it as an experiment to see who doesnt allow you to delete your data.
Now, pretty please, delete the account (alternatively I can just spam lots of crap in every post ?)
RBW.

That don't work because I have been posting crap on this site for years and they still wont delete my profile

Agreed, the GDPR regulations come into force next year but relate to PERSONAL data only. Forum data is public data that individuals chose to share with the world.
I don't have access to the tools on this forum to know what can and cannot be done but I have seen on other forums when users leave, the posts remain but the username is replaced with something like "Ex-member"
-
At 47, rainbow-walker, tell us a bit about your choice of motorcycles? This is a forum after all. ;)
The gen1 fazer, to a R6, to a GSXR1000, to the pinnacle Ducati 899 Panigale ?
-
8 posts since 2011, just stop posting so often ;)

Not convinced threatening to spam every post is going to win you any friends. you might just find that people may take a little more interest in you and your where-abouts.
Now I don't know, but would it take a lot of effort for a technical type to track an IP address down to a smallish geographical area.
Maybe, maybe not.
As sharpie said 95% of us type spam-n- crap and other detritus in here so would we notice your spamming?
I would guess your best bet is just go quiet, cos to be honest I actually don't think that your important enough for anyone to worry about stealing your details. :rollin :rollin :rollin :z

FFS! Why are people being so childishly pissy about this? Does it make you feel better about yourself?
The guy has asked for the profile to be deleted. It's a simple matter for someone with Admin privileges to go in and zap it and there's no reason not to.
Grow up.
-
We need Aegis to do it. I don't have the access.

Seems a bit uncalled-for, the only childishness has been that of rainbow-walker threatening to spam the forum if he can’t have his way.
Most of the rest of us were discussing what counts as personal data and what the effects on the forum would be for the various levels of deletion that are possible.
-
Oh dear!
Is this what it has all degraded to, everyone getting pissy with everyone else.
I cant bring myself to join the Merc owners club so I will just have to stick with FOCC U and keep a low profile.
(Especially as it difficult to delete one) :rollin
I'm going to crack open an Bud and fuck the lot of you lol! :finger :moon :guitar

So what have the merc owners done for us then?
