Just been reading an article about this in the latest edition of The Vintage & Classic Motorcycle magazine.

Unused 1977 Norton Commando still in the original shipping crate up for auction (lockdown permitting) on November 14th

https://www.visordown.com/news/general/box-fresh-norton-commando-850-be-sold-auction

Apart from putting it in a museum, there is not a lot you could do with that. You wouldnt be able to ride it on the road even if you wanted to.
Another ex-Fazer rider that is a foccer again

Nobody in their right minds would ride it anyways. Problem being that it may be worth 20-30k in the crate but you can probably half that at least if you put it together and got it on the road. As BBROWN1664 says... its clearly a museum piece

I had a 750 Commando in the 70's--shook it's self to bits, and had oil leaks from the engine casings--a pile of crap even after changing all the casing bolts with stainless steel hex head allan screws. next bike was a Yamaha 350RD LC like riding on a cloud in comparison.
