I know you said only one but I really can't decide between the Z1000 & Versys.  :D

Do not buy Gold Fren! When I removed my front calipers to service them just after New Year I was shocked when at least one pad came away from the backing plate on both sides - they were about 8 months old with very little use.  :eek

*NB* May have said these were Kyoto in a previous post but having recently checked receipts they were in fact Gold Fren. Saying that though, I definitely tried Kyoto pads at the rear and they're worse than useless in the wet so I'd avoid those too.

I agree, babies are boring  :z   I've got boxes of lego in the cupboard for when Frazer (he's 3 1/2) wants to play with it :D  I also can't wait for him to want a scalextric set, train set and RC car.

I also agree. My 7 wk old is nowhere near as interesting as my 2 yr old, although she still has the ability to melt me whenever she smiles. Awwww!

My 2 yr old got a fantastic RC car for her birthday. It's one of those electric cars that she can drive herself, however it came with a RC controller and at the flick of a switch it becomes a RC car. Rear wheel drive + laminate flooring = sideways action and a terrified daughter. Just a shame it's as pink as Katie Price's cars. :lol 8)

Caberg V2 407. An awful, noisy & dangerous full face helmet, but it does have a sun visor. How is it dangerous? Well, over 50% of the time the visor will flip up at motorway speeds when I look over my shoulder. I so wish I hadn't dropped my Raid II.

Saying that, a friend of mine swears by Caberg flip helmets.

Cheers!  :D

Tonight will be a full night, most definitely.

I just hope our 2 year old is ok. So far the only thing she says when you mention baby to her is "No baby... Cry."  :rollin

My wife gave birth to our second daughter Katherine earlier today and I am over the moon, absolutely ecstatic! I couldn't be any more proud of my wife.

Katherine was born at 16:38 weighing 7lb 9oz.

 :D :D :D

Good luck and stick with it.

I bought a bicycle last summer for the same reason although my commute's 14 miles each way - rode it three times to the local shops and it's been in the shed ever since.  :o

There's an option to design your own.

I managed to get a decent centre stand from http://www.fazerspares.com last year - about £20 I think it was.  :)

Good luck!

A mate of mine did it last year (northern route, clockwise). He said it was an incredible experience but very tiring - had to pull over somewhere north of the border for a snooze on a park bench. I'd like to do it myself and I was intending to do it last year but couldn't raise enough funds to get the bike up to standard to take on 1000 miles.

Again, best of luck, and get some bum cushioning.  :D

Maybe I should line up 15 cars and a ring of fire to jump through just to keep mr danger happy!!!!!!!!!??

Yes, yes you should. That would be foccin' cool!  8)

I've caught air once and I never want to do it again. A friend and I were up at the lakes and rode down The Struggle just off Kirkstone Pass. At the bottom of the hill when the road levels out you can pretty much see a straight line through all the twists so we both gunned it. Problem is, neither of us saw the hidden dip. Foc' me, I nearly pooped and sex wee'd simultaneously.  :eek

I've been thoroughly softcore this winter, preferring the car with its lovely warm heaters. Bliss!  8)

I've got one of those Delkevic cans on mine and it's lovely! Took the baffle out once and rode down a quiet street with high buildings either side and let's just say everyone on the street looked on in admiration (I think, anyway)  :lol

The left side headlight is pointing upwards and the adjustment screw is not doing its job. I can't see anything loose, nor can I hear anything rattling around but for the life of me I can't adjust the vertical positioning. The bulb also seems to have a fair bit of play in it; a tad wobbly if you will. It's an 01 boxeye.

What suggestions do you lovely foccers have?

Shiny, blue foxeye filtering through Gateshead/Newcastle traffic this morning.

This is also a canny site for parts, and I can confirm the seals fit perfectly in the rear caliper.  :D

General / Re: How far do you go for an MOT
« on: 08 April 2013, 11:54:24 am »
The place I go to is about 2 miles away.

The guy who does it is a top bloke and usually gives minor fails as advisories because he knows I'll repair/replace any faults. He's also the owner of a lovely Blackbird sans baffles. Another tester sympathetic to noise.  :lol
