Funny those union bosses earning £250k working for the hard pressed working man.
900 odd are needed to loose their jobs and over 1000 have said they would take volentry redundency. = no need to strike

You said your bile was silver so what the fec are you doing putting blue bits on it, --- do you want it to look like its made out of lego.
I think they say race lines as that does away with the over the mudguard joining bar so that you have two lines directly from the master via a double banjo bolt. Thats what ive got anyway
Go sliver and stainless please

ocadas shares that go up --- or any others that make a loss and they go up because the loss could of been less than the brain dead sheep on the trading floor were expecting it to be.

Bps shares were riding high on the back of high oil price which has now come down and the shares have come down in line with that

I am not qualified to give financial advice and you do any of the following at your own risk also information given may not be accurate and I may of also made it all up
Isas,
But she has more than the max limit for the year which starts in April, she needs to put the max limit she can into one now its somthing like 5,900
So she will hve put the max in for the year 2013/2014 ending april 5th
Then after april 6th she can put in the rest and she can also add onto that up to the 2014/2015 max limit
These will be instant access cash isas or if she wants to get more interest she can lock in in for longer, but as interest rates may soon be going up she could be better off instant cash one ind be free to move it to a better paying one

This e-petition remains open to signatures and will be considered for debate by the Backbench Business Committee should it pass the 100 000 signature threshold.

Idiots ----STOP VOTING all of you, dont you see what you have done ?
By doing this you have just given all of these lazy, sleepy-allowance claiming MPs the idea to change the name, when before they were just snoozing.

All the above plus the Yamaha "D Lock" that fits onto the underside of the seat. Anybody else got one of these? Never use it though but the extra weight keeps the back end planted  :b

could you share a picture of this lock?

I havent got one, I dont know where they all went as noone seems to have one.Maybe they didint even come with one
If you look under your seat- that being the bit you sit on, you will see under and molded into the underside of the seat - u shape hooks, these are where your lock should clip into place along with the two holes in your tail rubber flap.
Under that strap where the shackle part of the lock is sposed to fit (part 2 ) is where i store my pouch of 3 little canasters for the puncture repair

What about wiring here and there starting to wear through the insulation due to vibration.
I think its right to treat the price as if it were a 120k bike/engine

Is this the kit I should be getting?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/REMA-TIP-TOP-PUNCTURE-REPAIR-AIR-KIT-MOTORBIKE-MOTORCYCLE-SCOOTER-NEW-/271388327054?pt=UK_Car_Exterior_Accessories&hash=item3f30013c8e

Thats very simular to what I have.
Thing is the last puncture I had was a 5 inch nail that went in the tread part and then out of the side, and then bent over and the tyre stayed up to get me home and then jurrrrrrrst enough to get to the tyre place the next day!!!

I got mine from hein gerrick and I think it had 3 small cartridges in it, they are about the size of the neck of a bottle of bud, but not quite that big.
I have a question on these which is what shelf life do they have as mine has been under my seat for about 8 years

I found the best way to do it is click 3-4 times about a second apart.  If you're a second early you'll still catch it with the second/third click.

Seems more about playing computer games than safe road riding... :rolleyes

Not sure if the bike one is the same but I was helping somone with a car one, and im sure that if you clicked too early it went against you.
Yes you are right it is more about playing a game as i wasnt not seeing the hazard but not clicking when i should and after a few gos I learnt how to "play" it

I've got no way of reinflating my tyres if I have a puncture, so I'd like to know if there's a mini compressor
I have a kit that contains a valve and little compressed gas cartridges things.

As for the yam U-Lock I had the bike from 3 years old and it had already gone missing when I brought it, but I do carry another one that fits in two parts the U bit sits with its ends in the tail and the other bit sits down the side a bit over the undertray

Yeh there is a "sweet spot" where you are suposed to click, but I think clicking too early gets you negative points or somthing

The test is stupid, one bit (if I remember rightly ) was a cyclist coming in the opposite direction somewhere in the middle distance -- don't click - that's not it, then a car appears in the scene at a distance behind the cyclist, right im clicking as the car will soon be moving out to overtake the cyclist and ive spotted what will be happening in 20 seconds time, But that was a fail as I clicked too soon and the correct time to click according to the test was much later when the car was nearer to the cyclist. That's not perception, that's the hazard happening NOW.

Do I just take it you use the idle speed adjuster to get the revs to 3000 rather than use the throttle

Yes I think that is so

I was helping someone with practising the hazard perception test video thing where you have to click when you see a hazard, so I had a go and was clicking for everything, damp road, manhole cover, wet leaves, no on leaves on trees so looks icy, low sun in my face, woman flicking hair in car mirror, knob with fat exhaust. FAILED but it was the obvious stuff I should of clicked for like bus a stopped ahead.

Ok on reading more advice and thinking a little more about this I think my "take the 50/50" was wrong
I think Nick Chrisp put it well

Could not the fact that the car (which did not have right of way) hit you, who was on the main road; could it not be argued that it was NOT, in fact, clear for him to pull out, and therefore the fault lies with him? Whether or not YOU stopped seems to me to be immaterial in this case.

But what I do pick up from this is that I think you would of been better off with a specialist bike insurer/ broker as you said yours just dont understand how a bike uses the road. Its like they carnt be arsed with it and just want to move on. I use a dedicated bike broker who (they say ) is run by bikers for bikers.

Also could this be moved into the Off  thread as I think its a perfect one to go there as we are all learning from this

You're allowed to overtake on zig zags, it's the vehicle closest to the crossing that you're not allowed to overtake!
I knew this came up before but couldnt remember who or where.

So I always thought you couldnt. where in the highway code is this
