One thing that can cause an issue is the small bore pipe some taps have now, if the water supply is not at mains pressure the flow from the taps can be very poor.

Everyone and their wife seems to be cafe racering them at the moment, which is beyond me because they are wank. They were wank 30 years ago and time has not made them any less wank

Now then! Having owned one for a while (30 years ago) I can only agree with you, I would not be in a rush to own another. Even though I have full experience on rebuilding the engine after the big end bearings fail.

« on: 01 January 2016, 08:37:47 pm »
To add practical experience to this, I have a 600cc Honda Hornet (so not a fazer) but I have done 47,000 mile using semi synthetic  car engine oil, the API standard is better than the quality stated in my Haynes manual. I do not mind sharing this info as I will run the bike till it is passed any resale value, as I have done with all the vehicles I have owned.

I did an open college course ''build your own computer'' and as already said it was a case of bolting the bits together, finishing with loading the Windows program. I would find a computer some one is ready to get rid of and let him work on improving that, also I think to study further he may need two computers.
Hope he gets on the course he is hoping for.

I have capped off before now by using a coin, remove the spigot from the connector then place the rubber seal against the hole then the coin and finally secure with the threaded collar. Hope this helps.

Could it be driven on a car license, that grabs a much bigger potential market.

I started biking at 17 stopped using a bike at 24, returned to biking and have been riding again now for over 8 years, so would I be referred to as a born again? If so would it be derogatory.

I watch this several times and could not make up my mind on it, but the previous comment has prompted a review and I think the lorry driver had not set up for the turn, he is very close to the kerb on the main road before turning, I would have expected a lorry driver to pull away from the curb as much as possible as it helps your lane position as you turn in to the side street.

I use BT 023 at the moment, at one point the BT tyre was changed to a front model with solid rubber around the centre these wore out in half the time although there was all that rubber in the centre the sides wore down very quickly. so I will see how much mileage people are getting out of these before I use them.

Front model?

Front tyre, i was tied when I wrote this.

This might interest people, not sure about the rights and wrongs of it.

If I have read this right your saying it happens at low revs. My thoughts are stop running the engine and find out exactly what is wrong, i believe the oil light comes on when the the oil  pressure is low, the pressure is built up by the oil pump which is there to pump the oil though the engine lubricating all the required places.

If I am right the pump could be on its way out. I m sure others on here who are more familiar with the Fazer engine will comfirm this either way, but in the mean time it is risky to run the engine in my opinion.

Last ride ever. Mad Sunday Isle of Man TT circuit done it years ago on a Suzuki GS850 shaft drive. To do it again now on the Hornet would be great.

With out a ferry crossing then Leicester down the Fosse Way to Swindon B4507 to Wantage. Then back to Leicester Via Oxford onto the (old A34)  A4260 to Banbury and on to Daventry .

Also why did it take a jury 3 days of deliberation.

Of course our thoughts are based on a limited report, that said, I would how many of the jurors had in the past gone though a red light?
