I used washing up liquid, very small bit around the rubbers(it dries up after and forms good seal)
I found a second pair of hands good for this.
The back of the carbs next the airbox generally had to be lifted slightly to get the right angle and then I used a pry bar from before the crossmember on the frame to behind the airbox in the 2 grooves and pulled.
Brute force indeed.
I would generally not suggest Vaseline as it is more if a proper lubricant and you could have the airbox in and tightened up and let the pressure of the pry bar and airbox might just slide of the carbs

Sounds like cable or even the the rod and rod pusher behind sprocket cover, gave me abit of bother at start, just greased everything up, new cable and gud as new now, except I do now need a clutch lol

No inline fuses needed, can do if u want but not nessisary.

That's the 1, easy, just that and to top pin goes to the green wire coming from the left handlebar in the blue connector in the box under the tank, that's basically it, green wire does nothing there. Look at it next time Ur under the tank, 6 wires go to the connection and 5 leave it,

Thanks for all the replies guys, the red rim tape is probably the way to go, will keep yas updated Oh got the headlight mod done today... 10min job, bought pre-wired 3pin light plug from halfords, €4. Straight connectors on all and done and dusted  Well chuffed with extra bit of light!

Oh sorry I know there alloy, it's not being done the same as stainless, just polishing, but he's not sure if it will do much for the Swingarm with the anodised coating..
I did buy myself some baking powder but can't remember the mixture with water to remove the coating, and it's a pain with the sandpaper, just can't get it all of

Polish them? Lol p60 grade sandpaper won't take that shite of a hahahha, never though of doing anything with the grap rail to be honest, it's not even black,
I have a friend who's father works in a stainless steel factory, he is taking a pillion foot peg with him to see if the guys in the polishing dept can so anything with them... If so them half the bike is being sent lol, I tried the mirror shine on the swing arm....didn't work out so trying a different approach.

Yea I was warned, only myself to blame, thought it would look good at the time but now I'm not so sure, up close it looks good but stand back and take a foto of it it looks pink,& shit, hmmm, wel I have to paint the engine anyway so might aswel put frame back to original colour, still glad I got the powdercoating done though even though it was wrong colour, just I know frame won't rot now

Ok guys so most of you know I powdercoated the frame red.......wel I think now in the long run it was a bad idea... Due to the fact that it looks shit in every picture I take of it  So I'm going to strip it again...yes this will be the third full strip I'v done since I got the bike, and I'v only just fixed her up and running wel :-(. I can't afford to redo the powdercoating so might just hang frame from roof of shed and spray with ye-old spray can? Bike frame will still be powdercoated protected just changing the colour eh? Going back to the black is the safest bet me thinks. Think I might time myself this time, I'm aiming for 3-4 hours to having just frame, wiring loom and all out haha

Yea it's not all "that" so to speak, original screen makes it hell,
I literally put my chin in the tank at 120 and even at 125 my helmet was still battering away with the lack of coverage to push the wind over the helmet,
In doing this, u are now looking tru the screen, which is lightly scratched but still blurs vision even more, also now u can't see Ur mirrors,
Also Ur arms are now in a position Ur not accustomed too and have to make adjustments to suit on the spot,
And stopping distance at that isn't worth thinking about either,
Plus what about bearing failure at that speed? Chain breaking??? Tyre stripping due to surface?
List goes on, just something to think about if you ever try it......... On a enclosed track of course...

I strapped a gps to the bars on my boxeye and had a steady 141mph show flat out, the clock said 150mph, I weigh in at about 10.5 stone so that helps, k&n air filter, sandy spares downpipes, delkevic can with no baffle.
All on private roads you understand  anything else would be illegal and irresponsible, just not like me..... 
Lol there is room for error though in both gps and tachometer (somewhat) more in the gps I'd say, not even the satellite could keep up with ya

Saw exactly 140 on the clock two up on a motorway coming back from a MotoGP race in 2004. Not saying where, but I was doing 110 and every bike and car seemed to be passing me, so I said Foc this and followed them.
Lol, bit embarrassing that alright, but it's not half bad at all for the bike that it is, but pity it only makes it power up so high, Ur battling in 6th to get up and over the 10,000 and 11,000

Ah, that would be nice to play on alright, I didn't intend on going balls out, doing about 110 in 5th a and just went to 6th, stayed at that then yanked the trottle, prob should have gone back to 5th to higher rev but was halfway up the straight and all,
Forgot to ad that there was a very light incline In the road aswel.....
For the power, I don't think they can go much more???
