Clock transfer
« on: 11 July 2016, 10:47:43 pm »
I want to change my 1998 clocks to 2003 set, got all the wiring looms etc but the white connectors are different under the tank, now scratching my head as I thought it was a straight swap but needs a wee bit more thinking, so have any of you guys done this and can give me some ideas?
Cheers.

Find the pin out diagram for both models and see if the wiring is compatible.

You could temporarily connect them with scotch blocks before cutting any wires.
Complete fabrication, I didn't make it up!

Looked at those diagrams :eek
But it now looks like I've got a set of clocks that won't fit :(
on the hunt now for upto a 2002 set as these apparently fit (the ones with the clock added to the speedo and not the rev counter) although I still need the wiring loom as well as its got a couple of extra wires for the clock but it's just plug and play (here's foccin hoping anyhow) :lol
