Switched Electrical Take-off on "02" Foxeye
« on: 02 October 2011, 12:00:38 am »
Hiya, I want to install a power lead for my satnav, preferably so only live when the ignition is on. Any suggestions as to where the easiest point is to attach the lead to?

Cheers, J

Hi there,

Not saying its easy but the only one i know of is the fuse box under the seat to the rear of the battery.
I soldered the live for my heated grips to the common live  bus bar having removed it from the casing.
There are pictures on the old site in the installing heated grips section, should be able to find it from this site.
Hope this helps.

There's one on the "Alarm" connector block under the seat. Labelled as the 4th from the bottom on the diagram.
Connects to the "Turn" fused 12V line.

I've never used it so I've no idea where it physically is, you'll have to fish around with a meter.

I have connected to the unswitched 12V on that block and it needed a very small spade connector.
