General / Selling Fazer dilemma: advice please
« on: 14 June 2018, 05:21:49 pm »
Hi guys,
Sad times but I've barely used my '02 Fazer 600 in the past year so time to sell. The problem is the Fazer has been stood in a mate's garage since last autumn and now isn't running properly. It's ridable, but doesn't accelerate cleanly (it kinda 'chugs'). I've been told the carbs are probably blocked cos it's been stood so long. I'm no good at mechanical stuff myself, so would have to pay to get it fixed.

So my dilemma is: is it best to try and sell it cheap as it is, or pay possibly £200+ to get it in tip top condition and then sell?

I've no idea what the market is like for old gen 2 Fazers these days. I've looked at prices on eBay but they seem to vary hugely. A local bike dealer has offered me £750 for it. I don't mind letting it go cheap to avoid the faff of having the work done and selling it privately, but £750 seems ridiculously low!

Thoughts??

For Sale & Wanted / Re: '02 FZS600 foxeye for sale - HOW MUCH?
« on: 30 July 2013, 12:46:41 am »
If your selling at that price I would take off the hugger, radiator guard and rack and sell separately as that is priced to sell quick.  If u do decide to take them off let me know as I may be a buyer for one or two of them. :)
And I'll have the things he doesn't buy ;)

Hmmm, might be interested. Would you take £20? I could collect.
Sorry for the dumb question but I've never had panniers before, how do they fit to the bike? Do you just take the seat off and lay the black strap things under the seat?

I'd also be interested in the rack and plate if the other two foccers don't take it. Is the plate monorack or monokey?

Looks nice and the price seems about right. If I hadn't just bought a silver foxeye I'd be interested myself ;) Good luck selling her, I have a soft spot for red 'uns cos my first one that got nicked was red...

Where are you based, spoonman?

23
Have now got a hugger. Still after a givi rack, nice sounding can and a double bubble screen.

24
Just about to get an '02 Fazer 600 and need a Givi rack for it... plus any reasonably priced bits and bobs to tartify it a bit - a nice sounding and looking can, a hugger, a double bubble screen, anything else that looks nice and is cheap... ;)

I'm based in Leicestershire.

Cheers Luke, glad she has found a good new home with a Foccer (or friend of Foccer) :) Nice square tyre for motorway riding eh, bike just wants to go straight ahead ;) Must get myself on the forum more once I've got my 600.
