Went to watch the Somerset Rebels Speedway take on Kings Lynn at the Oak tree arena .

I went to see the return match at Kings Lynn. I don't go to watch speedway often as I don't finish work early enough and it's an expensive hobby if you go regularly.
It was great to see Lewis Kerr not only back in action but also winning, despite him riding for the opposition.

An SLK  :eek / Sorry Tomski but that's another sticker in the post fella

Some people can be so harsh and unfeeling when a chap has just had an indicator bereavement.
For your information it is not a hairdressers car it's much more manly it a genuine manicurists mobile nail bar.  :eek :lol

Thanks for the sticker saved, printed, laminated, applied. Looks a treat picture to follow.  :lol

Pink wall it is then. Tricky to get them looking real can do it without if you prefer
It is quicker to remove the car on the left than to redo the new pic but I can do it if you want

Oy Sharpie,
It would be great if you could, wish I had put that pic up to start with I just grabbed one of the old tub and posted it, had I know you were a smart arse I would have posted the second one instead. he he!
I tried to save your vastly improved version to my computer but alas I can not open it, 'jpg thumb' what-ever that is.
Anyhooo it will not open on my Windowa 7 PC.
Might have to do a search to find out why unless you know, seeing as you are such a smart arse lol!

Modified post: I opened the jpg_thumb in Paintshop Pro 9 and re-saved it as a .jpg and it opens fine now

Maybe a "My Little Pony" on the bonnet or those multi colour strands on kids handlebars hanging off the wing mirror - would finish it off nicely.

Had a stone fly up from another vehicle the other night and it broke the wing mirror indicator/blinker lamp lens, luckily it did no other damage just the plastic lens, paintwork unmarked. Mercedes wanted silly money for a replacement unit, I found a brand new Mercedes genuine part from a Mercedes dealer on eBay for £29.99, believe me that is a brilliant price I replaced the blinker light this morning, took about 1.5 hours and a bit of a faff doing it, removing the mirror glass was a bit of a problem as I did not want to end up breaking it, but good old YouTube to the rescue, its a doodle when you know how, if I ever have to do one again I will be able to do it in half the time now.

But and there is always a BUT, Merc say that the indicator is LED and if one of the LED's blow the whole unit needs to be changed (MOT Failure) the word that comes to mind is BULLSHIT. Before I fitted the new unit I thought I would connect it to a spare 12 volt motorcycle battery to ensure all LED's were working and of course they were, the funny thing was that they were working which ever polarity I connected them, LED's can only be conneted one way round to work as they are effectively a one way gate.
Anyhoo new unit fitted and all works a treat, indicator and heated mirror, Top job.

On the old broken unit I removed the non replaceable LED's only to find they are replaceable and in fact they are small orange standard type incandescent bulbs as show below where you can see the standard element inside the bulb.
MOT failure yes! replacement unit fitted by garage about £150, fit new bulb yourself 90 pence a a little time and help from YouTube.

visiting the classic bike show in stafford yesterday has renewed my interest in restoring my suzuki gt 250 x7 , when I bought the bike many many years ago the seat lock and bracket had been cut off , so todays day off was put to good use cleaning up the frame where the old bracket was welded on , fabricating a new bracket for the new lock bought on ebay and welding it to the frame , not factory perfect but iam happy with it.....

Cleared out a bit of shelf space to store some homemade fruit wine.
Pear and BlackBerry  in the demijons   and bottles and 60 litres of plum in the barrel.
Got some more indoors waiting to clear and going to do another batch this week with some over ripe pears.
What with the sloe gin on the go, it's going to be a merry Xmas. :)  Hic

I've never tried sloe gin. I hate the taste of gin and sloes just suck the juice from your mouth where they are so sharp but it will be interesting to see how it transforms. We shall see.

Dazza you just gotta try slow gin, it is absolutely delicious, I have some on the go with sloes from the Isle of Wight, grown on very chalky ground, just like others in here I can hardly wait to try it.

Shhhh! Don't tell but I have already tried it and it is wonderful. :lol

Yep, looking forward to trying it out. It just amazes me how two unpalatable things like gin and sloes can be transformed by adding sugar and a little patience.
