For Sale & Wanted / Wanted! Front indicator plates.
« on: 13 March 2016, 11:57:00 am »
Hi

Just wondering if anyone has the front indicator plates off the Fzs600 that fit in the original indicators? I need two, it's for a friends Thundercat 600.

Thanks, Simon.

General / Re: Ultrasonic cleaners, any good ?
« on: 21 February 2016, 07:44:07 am »
I've got one, bought it from maplins, got the cleaning fluid from there too. It doesn't fit a full bank of carbs in so you have to strip them down to single units. Cost me £110 delivered with the fluid.

The reason I got one was I was working on a Harley, the float bowl accelerator pump section was blocked solid, soaked in carb cleaner for days but nothing would shift it. Used a friends maplin sonic cleaner and it cleared the blockage within 4 mins.

A local bike shop to me has a big cleaner which fits a full set in and reckons it cost him £900.

You can make your on loop back plug with the plug off the alarm side, it should only need two wires soldering together. There instructions online which wires to join. Done it myself a few times.

Slaninar and VNA - you've both posted in the wrong section. You should've posted here  http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php/topic,18850.0.html where you can continue to bang on about your beliefs. The last 2 posts have got fuck all to do with this thread. Bored shitless with your "education lessons".

Well said!

I raced motocross for a few seasons and do enduro riding now.

How about a big wheel 85cc? Are you thinking 2 or 4 stroke?

It's justifiable when the child is probably going to grow up to be a terrorist anyway. Fuck'em! Men, women, children, they can all die for all I care.

I hate it when people who have no intention of ever going buy concert tickets just to stick on eBay for more money.

£144 delivered. The genuine chain is endless but the kit does come with a link if you want to split the chain. The front sprocket in this kit is way ahead of any after market one.

MT-07's are great, I get to test ride them often at the main dealer I work in. That and the Tracer have been my favourites so far.

Fitting the genuine top box rack isn't fun to the 07, you have to reem out holes in the panels.

This is a great bit of road if you get the chance to ride it, about 25 mins from mine near Conwy.

I work in a Suzuki/Yamaha main dealer and we always remove old weights and rebalance a wheel when changing tyres. We've got an electric balancer which is great. On the odd occasion when fitting a new tyre it hasn't needed any weights adding, the majority need weights though.

I'm selling my Fazer, I just don't use it at all anymore and as much as I love it I'd rather see it get used then be sat under a cover.

I've owned it since November 2009 when it was on 27000 miles, its now on 45000.

- Heated Grips
- Fazer 1000 rear caliper and torque arm
- Powder coated wheels, swing arm and fork lowers, all done by Triple S in Bingley.
- New Yamaha disc bolts all round when wheels powder coated.
- All wheel bearings and seals.
- Hagon front springs and oil.
- New rear BT023, almost new front.
- K&N Air filter
- Stainless Down pipes(motad)
- Fender Extender
- Mint condition spare black tank and seat.
- Genuine Yamaha chain and sprockets, 10000 miles on them.
- Sorn'd, will come with 12 months MOT.

Its located in Rhos-on-Sea, North Wales.

I'm hoping to get £1000.

Totally agree with you Lew, fuck the lot of them.

Stop having sex and multiplying when you can't support the lives you're bringing into this world.

If I was starving and lived in a war torn country the last thing I would be thinking is 'hey, fancy having lots of kids?'

If you watch the whole video on you tube you see that the girl is about 70 years old.  He probably couldn't tell that from the back though and though she might be a MILF  as she had a pushchair with her.

Haha, I meant the girl right at the beginning of the video, he turns his head to look back at her before the crash, she's got what looks like an asda bag or something.

Shocking crash, he got off relatively lucky.

Was he checking out that girl just before the accident? Not that he would have reacted faster if he wasn't.

I've had the same issue with ebc rear pads in an R1, pads had almost no wear on them before the pad came away.

FZS600 Fazer / Re: Rear Disc Mounting Bolts

The area surrounding the bolt, as hot as you can get it, five minutes plus with a gas blow torch. I've got them off with a few minutes blast of an electric heat gun before but that was on different bikes.

Lots and lots of heat usually works.

Mine were really stuck, even using oxy-acetylene to heat them all up 2 wouldn't budge, I had to drill them out.

The issue is that the threads are exposed through the inside of the wheel.

I had my swingarm, fork lowers and wheels done satin black at Triple S Powder Coating. The swingarm cost £28+vat.

FZS600 Fazer / Re: Fixing fairing and tank advice....
« on: 14 June 2015, 02:53:48 pm »
Nightmare. The same thing happened to mine over the winter. The rear indicator went through the undertray too so I've had to replace the undertray.

Fairings new are around £180, mine has been repaired by a friend who's a paint sprayer.

FZS600 Fazer / Re: Replacing Steering head bearings
« on: 28 March 2015, 09:08:14 pm »
To get an idea on price, I've just changed head bearings and fork oil on a Triumph Daytona for £150 and I picked it up from and delivered to his house which is 25 miles one way.

Not a bad job if you have the right tools. Some manufacturers don't give you enough purchase to remove the races which is annoying.
