Tyres - again
« on: 13 July 2016, 07:34:38 pm »
Has anyone in the past tried Metzler Z6's. I know they are old school now, but so are PR 2's.
So any thoughts between the above 2 makes?

I can only speak for PR 2's, they are incredible tyres, although becoming dated they have never once (serious) slipped or slid in the wet/cold. I am on my second pair, fitted them the day before I went to France over a week ago and with 500 miles of torrential rain, they held their own and never slipped once. I would highly recommend Pilot Road 2's.

Cheers

My gen1 came with z6 fitted. There's a video somewhere of me spinning it up in 2nd gear away from the lights for a few seconds. Pr2s I had fitted to my BMW and they were OK but front had a funny wear pattern after 4k.
Far better tyres out there for not much more money.
