new chain
« on: 10 April 2013, 10:58:43 pm »
Well expect i could get more mileage outta me chain of 14 thou' but with an over 50's lads trip to europe looming up ive decided its gotta go.
after trawling the net i found that did's ZVM530 came out top trumps with10,408 ft/lb and wear resistance of 4,000out classing RK's XSO 530 (9,200 FT/LB).
ON price i found Hunters motorcycles of newcastle good (£106 posted), they also do the did vx530 with talon rear at £96 posted.
I got a std front sprocket and a 43 tooth supersprox from webbs all waiting to be fitted, and i am already running a 43 yam one so i happy with it.
POSTMAN WHERE ARE YOU :lol

Just replaced my chain and sprockets today. Went with genuine front sprocket OE did chain and jt rear +2 teeth over STD.
Just under 200 including tab washer and fitted.
Could have got cheaper online but I try to shop local.

Rear sprocket that came off (renthal) looked almost new, chain was well within spec but the front was foced big time. Teeth thin and starting to hook
