Clutch cover removal/Oil loss
« on: 06 January 2021, 05:06:18 pm »
Would someone have an idea of how much oil would be lost if I remove the clutch cover with the bike on the sidestand. Thanks in advance.

To some extent that depends on how much is in the bike to start with i.e. half or full window etc.  Usually isn't not a great deal, never measured it but 100, 200ml maybe.

Thanks Gnasher, that’s great. It is up towards the top of the window, but 200ish ml is not a problem. Thanks again :thumbup

Thanks for that info. I want to get the clutch cover powder coated, but aren’t ready to do an oil change yet. Even if I lose a small amount, that won’t be a problem.  :thumbup
