Lava Red!!! ....... Oh no!!! Not another type!!!
Damn!!!!
Mine's a sort of darker metallic red. All the other FZS's I've seen that are red are I think the same colour??
How many colours did they make then???
There's mine, blue, black and I think I've seen silver ones too.
Come on Paint Match Fairy..... Do your thing and wave the wand of knowledge in my direction.
 ;) ;)

Why is it so hard to get to know the exact colour match for my bike? I know there are paint codes etc but different companies have conflicting information about which colour matches my bike. I have finally narrowed it down to two possibilities. Vivid red cocktail #1 or Vivid red cocktail #7. The bike is a 2001 fazer 1000. If someone were to ask me what colour it was my reply would be "it's red!"
Has anybody touched up or sprayed a similar bike and knows which exact colour it is. Pleeeeeeease!!!!

Thanks for the replies. Done a bit of home work and, as my forks aren't bent too much, I think I will get them straightened. As always, money is an issue!
I've pm'd another member who has a couple of other bits I also need. Fingers crossed I should be back on the road quite soon. As long as my foot hurries up and fixes itself!!! :'(

Hello all. Bought my 2001 fazer 1000 last year after an 8 year spell away from road bikes and selling my beloved KTM EXC. I'm really impressed by the fazer and enjoy every ride. However, after a recent trip to Scotland I had the misfortune to have an argument with bambi at about 80mph!!!! I managed to stay on the bike but know need front forks, front mud guard and a new radiator!!! I am aware that original forks can be hard to get at reasonable prices so will have to go down the used items route. Some people say that forks from other bikes will fit (R1's and R6's). Can anyone who may have done such a mod please help with some good advice???

Many thanks and hello to all.
