The comfort seat I had on mine made only a little difference and Yamaha should fit them as standard, not the oak one that comes as standard, instead of rake in our hard earned money for them. You should run out of fuel before the painful numb bum sets in. I never could manage more than 90miles before I needed to refuel thirstie beasts the gen 2s. I now ride a Z1000 the same year as my gen2 was, it's got an after market seat on different bars the riding position suits me better but the seat is no more comfortable Why aren't bikes fitted with the old sofa like seats you could ride all week on them and never get a numb bum.

After 48 years of consistently riding bikes I have long since accepted the grim reality of my passion for riding bikes.

Usual foccing idiots hijacked a thread, WHAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE ABOUT BIKERS RIDING BIKES after a long lay off. You wonder why this forum p-ss-s me off. Just for the record yes I have been out on my bike stopped once for fuel observed the distancing rule and thoroughly enjoyed myself without putting any one risk other than myself by other road user SMIDSY's.

If the people gather in mass at beauty spots, beaches, etc and don't keep to social distancing we will be back to lockdown. As a group we who ride bikes can do our bit, go out and enjoy your rides but use your common sense don't gather in large groups and when you do stop observe social distancing let us not be the ones blamed for another lock down. We are a small  group of the public so easy for the masses to blame.
ENJOY YOUR RIDES, KEEP  THE RUBBER SIDE DOWN,  BE SAFE

I can assure every one that my intentions were to just remind people they could go out on their bikes today without fear of being pulled by the police just for being on a bike. Not to wind our fellow the Scottish & Welsh riders up, unlike some,  I have more constructive things to do.  No mine has stayed in the garage today but it won't tomorrow. Had to take my dog over the fields he exercises in but hasn't been able to go there as I've been sticking to the lock down and not driving my cage.

The same new rules apply to motorcycles as cars from Wednesday according to MCN reports. We can now ride to open spaces with no distance restrctions, providing we do not leave England and cross the borders of Wales & Scotland. where the restrictions still apply. We must still apply the 2mtr rule though, so peeps use your common sense, don't gather in large groups, obey the rules, keep the rubber side down, watch out for dozy cagers and stay safe.

I have a rule when using a Haynes manual start with the smallest  hammer and work up by the time you get to a 14lb sledge hammer it does fit there :-)

I used to like this forum that's why I stayed on it when I changed bikes, but the same few unpleasant people dominate most posts and have made this forum an unpleasant place to be for me. So does any one know how I can cancel my membership of this forum.

Can anyone tell me how to cancel my membership of this forum. I am sick of reading posts dominated by a certain few dogmatic, bigoted members and no longer wish to be associated with this forum.

They put the comma in the wrong place should have been £2,299.90  It's nice but the mileage doesn't warrant price.

I also knew a man in the late 1970s through work, who was one of the first squaddies into Belson he related some of his experiences of those first few hours he spent about half an hour talking to us he was a big, strong, hard guy, who backed down to no one. He had tears rolling down his face the whole time he related those first few hours. We spent the next hour helping him recover out of site of other people. I still can see the distress that guy went through when he related it to us just like it was yesterday.  We did check out his story and it had been documented.

I had a Gen 2 FZ1 never managed any where near the figures yam gave out for the bike less than 100miles to a tank, usually around 90miles with spirited riding.
