For Sale & Wanted / Re: FZS600 Fazer 96 to 03 Haynes manual for sale

Nor will anyone else now BB has given the whole world and it dog the link to the better option LOL

I wouldn't say a better option. However, I would say free option. So thanks BB for fucking up a chance to get some money back (however small) that I've lost after loosing my pride and joy  :thumbup

Sorry about your bike & even sorrier that someone attempted to "jinx" your sale. I have recently sold my Fazer & advertised some new spares on here with no interest whatsoever. Put same 8 items on ebay yesterday evening & 2 sold more or less immediately. So maybe thats the place to try. It not like youre asking a fortune -they cost about £20 new. Hope you get another bike soon!
I am hanging on to my Haynes manual however....JUST IN CASE! ;)  We dont all need the full factory workshop manual all the time do we?

Cheers buddy, I was giving people here first dibs on anything I had for sale to do with the Fazer before I go through the evilbay route. As for the price I thought it might get snapped up quicker if I posted for a much cheaper price, they are very good manuals and I know the information within them is of the same quality as the OEM workshop manuals, as thats where they get the information from, I know this as the company I work for have been bought by Haynes and we work very closely together, I'm amazed at the high levels of access they have to OEM technical information.

I managed to get a new bike and I bloody love it, it's a 2000 VFR800FI (Pre V-Tech) it was a shame that I was unable to get the FZS1000 I had my eye on but this is a very close second.

Thanks for the comments guys, absolutely right about the fitting F4aceless and I think they do look kinda cool. The only problem with fitting was on the left side bottom rail clamp which is only 25mm diameter, the right side is 30mm with a rubber lining which won't fit on the left side due to the closeness of the frame to the sump, because the 25mm clamp doesn't have a rubber lining, it's metal to metal contact on the frame which I wasn't happy with. However, I bought a piece of 1.5mm thick black rubber a couple of years ago to make some fairing washers for my VFR750, so I cut a strip to go inside the clamp but then needed a longer bolt cos I couldn't get the nut on the one they supplied :lol Still all good now, and at £83 well worth the money I reckon. It's good to hear that the engine bars do the job Fazer99 even though your baby was written off :(

I found the biggest problem fitting them was the lack of length of the bolts for the clamps around the frame but luckly I had some longer bolts to rectify that problem.

Fitted my new engine bars :)

I had the same bars fitted to my  :faz and eventhough my bike was written off those engine bars prevented any damage to the engine, well worth the money.

It pisses me off even more when you buy something online then before it is delivered they send you an email asking for a review when you have not even got the bloody item.

That and the evilbay review where you have to make a comment in that little comment box otherwise it will not let you post a review.

Yes please for the mirrors.  I actually only need the right hand one (as you're sat on the bike) but will buy both if you don't want to split.

If you don't mind buying them both that would be better for me as it might be harder to sell them seperatly, plus it's good to have a spare  :lol
If you want them both then PM me your address info and I'll send you the PayPal details  :thumbup

People that can't decide what FECKING lane they want and think "FOC it, I'll just take up both of them, I indicated so I have the right to pull out even if it isn't safe to and I've not even looked" 😡 COMPLETE DICKHEADS 😡

I was quite lucky as no bones broken but was it a fair bit of pain though. Loving the new bike but can't help feel a bit like I'm cheating on Yamaha as I've only really owned Yamaha's until now (I don't count the fling I had with a cheap Chinese 125 as it was in for repairs more than I actually got to ride it  :lol )

Had to properly say goodbye to my beautiful red beast by signing the paperwork as I had full conformation that it was a complete write off after the crash I had on 3rd of July due to some FOCCING asshole pulling out in front of me and slamming his brakes on. I have now bought a new bike however it's not a  :faz  as I couldn't afford the insurance for the FZS1000 as all my no claims bonuses are on hold until he finally admits fault, I can't see why he shouldn't as the is video evidence and 3 witness statements all stating he was driving like a twat any way long story short I bought a 2000 reg Honda VFR800FI (pre VTEC).

Supermarkets again and people who just abandon their trolley in the carpark without bothering to put it in the trolley area so it can roll into your car.

Adding to that, there is a shopping centre near me that has a couple of motorcycle parking spaces and more often than not you find that they have been taken up by bastards dumping trolleys there, what makes it worse it that they have to go past the trolley shed to get to the motorcycle parking spaces  :groan

It will all depend on the buy back cost and what payout I'm offered etc, but either way I will be looking at getting a replacement bike.

Would you go for a replacement fazer or a fazer replacement? I.e. what bike or bikes would you consider buying fella?

I was thinking of a FZS1000 as I had been toying with the idea of a bigger cc bike for a while but I was hoping to keep my 600 as well for winter riding or for fun at weekends. I was also looking at an MT-10 but I think that's going to be well out of my price range at the moment there are a few others that have cought my eye but the one that seems to be screaming out is the Fazer thou.
I have always said that my next bike would be a street triple but I if left this forum I don't know where else I would go to get the piss taken out of me.

You don't have to leave just because you have a different bike as if I do get anything different to a  :faz  I'm still going to hang around like a bad smell  :lol  I quite like the street triple myself but I think I'd probably go for the speed triple only because I'm looking to go for a beggar cc engine.

Good luck with your claim Fazer, hope it all works out for you. :thumbup :thumbup :thumbup

Thanks buddy I really hope it all goes well too. They are picking my bike up Friday for assessment and also dropping off a curtesy bike but I don't know what I'm getting, not that I can ride at the moment any way but I might be fine by Monday. I will be highly shocked if they don't deem it as a write off as the whole front end needs replacing as well as the tank and a load of other bits.

The bike is at least 15 years old, I know that the age of a looked after and loved bike does not detract from the the value that the owner places on his beloved machine, but alas the insurance companies will see it as a 15 year old bike and most likely deem it as a uneconomically viable repair and stroke it away with a dash I'd a pen. Might be worth buying it back from the insurance Co and seeing it as a project or dismantling it as spares, especially if you look for another Boxeye.

Not today but Monday evening on my way home from work, some FOCCING ASSHOLE pulled out in front of me and slammed his brakes on causing me to crash into the ack of him and now my beautiful red beast is FOCCED.
hope your ok fazer99

I'm OK, battered & bruised and the brain feels like it's been in a blender as my head smash into the back of his car. I'm just so glad my helmet camera picked the whole incident up and clearly shows he was a dick pulling out in front of me without looking or indicating. I would post the video but I need the police and my insurance to look it over first as I don't want to affect any of the claims I'm claiming for.

I did spot other types for about £10ish if not cheaper but just couldn't be sure if they would fit  :faz 's as they were not make or model specific.

Sorry cant remember - it has been kicking round in a box for years , the bike is made up of bits from boxes in my shed !

It looks like an after market R&G exhaust hanger i think I spotted some on ebay for about £50ish
