It came up in a Facebook Pisstake today. Do we have a Club Anthem I said we didn't but if we did it should be Cee Lo Green's "Fuck You" ( F.O.C-U ). Anyone else have a better suggestion?

FZS600 Fazer / Anything else?
« on: 19 September 2013, 12:01:25 am »
So I'm getting back onto a bike after 25+ years. The last bike I had was a RD200dx re reg'd as a 125.  ;)   I just turned 47  and decided to have my mid life crisis now while I can still enjoy it. I've been getting the new Fazer ready for if when I pass my test. So far I've removed and cleaned all the calipers and changed the brake fluid and pads. Changed both tyres to 023's as the original ones (F bt45 R 020) weren't worn out but were 10 years old. Re seated the Quill can and link pipe. Taken off the fairing to tidy up the wiring and straightened up the fairing brackets. Changed the engine oil and filter. Cleaned the air filter. And finally changed the drive sprocket nut for the mod one.
Anything else I need to do?

FZS600 Fazer / Two button clock fascia?
« on: 14 September 2013, 05:11:00 pm »
My Fazer has had the speedo replaced. The replacement clock is from a later model with two buttons but my fascia only has the single button so I can't reset the trip or set the clock.
Does anyone have a spare two button fascia they would like to sell/donate?

FZS600 Fazer / Drive sprocket nut
« on: 12 September 2013, 07:45:59 pm »
New owner here. I've just bought a 1999 Fzs 600 that's only done around 4000 miles. I've not passed my test yet (start training on the 23rd) so I'm using the time to fettle it a bit (not that it needs much) Just freeing off a sticky front brake piston and re-painting the main stand so far. On the advice of a forum member, I pulled off the drive sprocket cover and checked the drive sprocket nut. Its a 9mm thick nut. There's no sign of movement between sprocket, lock tab and nut. I'm pretty sure its the original chain and sprockets. So do I get a new 12mm thick nut and change it now or wait until I need a new chain/sprocket set and do it then?
