Did mine online - no probs. Also tax it online as well. Took 5 mins to fill in the form and the tax disc came throught the letter box 3 days later. Saves all that queuing b*****ks.

I wear a Shoei xr1000 as well. Best bit, apart from its lght weight, is the fact that they have different sizes of chhek pad. I was in between small and medium though the head fit was good. They swapped the cheek pads for some larger ones and sorted it. Had it a couple of years now and it's still waterproof and I love the pinlock anti mist, especially as I wear specs. Visor removal is a piece of cake as well.

Could save a fortune in petrol over Woodhead to Sheffield. The wind up there would carry you away like Mary Poppins!

When I got sideswiped by a car last year MCE  paid out for a new Givi top box, new fairings, Akrapovic can, crash bungs and engine casings without a quibble.

In this weeks letters page of MCN the Associate Director has replied by saying "In response to customer feedback we agree that the number of modifications that Bennets can currently cater for needs increasing beyond three. We are actively working on a solution for this"
Sounds like the customer feedback was VERY LOUD!!!
He then witters on about common sense (where's theirs) and no industry standards.
My FZ1 has full fairings, full Akrapovic, Meta alarm, tail tidy, double bubble, crash bungs, heated grips, Givi top box and panniers, Scottoiler, huggerand sat nav brackets. I'm with Carole Nash and have been with MCE in the past and neither of these companies had any difficulties insuring my bike with these extras. I wonder if Smartwater counts as an extra?

Old site to new, though not been on for a while. I'm 62 and live in Altrincham, Cheshire and I have an '08 FZ1 with full fairings, full Akrapovic, double bubble, Scottoiler etc and commute daily into Manchester. Like to get out to Cheshire, Wales and Yorkshire at weekends (not all at once!) Rivvy Barn, Squires and Devils Bridge. Had an FZ6 for quite a while and upgraded to the FZ1 about 2 years ago. Great all round bike, went 2 up with top box/panniers to the Ulster GP in August and the bike was brilliant.
