After a tank cover. Bike is red, so red or black preferably - hopefully not too much of a wee smell either  :rollin

Got, one so no longer looking.

£175 labour.
Er wtf were your local shop doing that it took 3-4 hours to swap an exup valve..?

2 hrs to remove (inc. headers), drill and thread the stuck bolts. 1 hr to replace!

Finally got her back. £154 for used exup (ebay) and £175 labour. Could have been much worse! Will now fire up the small claims court

Update, got a used exup from ebay for £154. The dealer are basically telling me to get stuffed so I'll be filling in the small claims form shortly :)

I'll name the dealer when it's sorted. But it's a Honda dealer in Manchester

Just to clarify, it has the std headers and a stuck exup valve (well, had as it's been removed :) ).

Technically, I think you'd have a hard time getting a satisfactory outcome through legal action because the bike does run 'OK' with the headers fitted when you bought it.  Good luck, though.

I'm not sure about that - it has a fault and as I asked them if the exup was OK when I bought it and was told yes, I think I have a decent case. The Mrs is on the case anyway - she's a terrier.....

Cheers. I'm heading for the 'pay for it myself and take 'em to the small claims court' route I think.

OK, the saga of the exup continues. I won't bore you with the details, but the selling dealer is saying that as it has a Deklevic an already, it'll run fine with Delklevic headers with no exup. My workshop says that's crap. What say you lot?

Great, thanks. I'll get some pen. oil on them and plan to get my local shop to do it and get the dealer I bought it from to pay as I asked them to check it was OK, it was meant to have been serviced and still got delivered with the fault...

Doesn't show a fault when running though, just on ign on.

Just got me a Gen 1 thou and the tacho jumps to 7k then back to 0. Is this OK or an Exup fault?

the moto gp etc guys all go for leather so there must be something in it. shame us mortals cant afford them.

That's more to do with aerodynamics, and slide ability on a nice flat surface.

Not really - they'd wear lycra if that was the case :)

The fix for the FZS600 was R1/R6? mirrors - quite a bit longer but otherwise the same. Not sure if the thou is the same.

I agree with Ralphie and Raz. But if there are 2 FB groups they ain't linked! There is after all, more than 1 Fazer 'forum'.

Not sure the FB group I'm in is invite only either. Mind you, bet there's more Fazer owners in the FB group lol .
