it finally stopped raining...
« on: 18 January 2020, 08:38:03 pm »
spent the last two weeks building a long stone wall at my partners family home. took ages because of the bloody weather. as im a biker I decided to mix some bike bits in with the rock. so, cunningly concealed, you can just make out a high tech Harley belt pulley and one of those ktm front lights that look like a ladies growler...even if it is sideways...

Can't believe you used a black dog as well, any other colour and you might have got away with it  :lol

 :lol :lol
been cannibalising the small holdings old crumbling internal walls for the perimeter wall (its a five acre property) off and on in twenty to thirty yards stints for the last five years Steve. Theres a couple of dumpers here thank the lord, so though ive done a lot of handballing didn't have to barrow any of it. Now me and her are splitting up, I promised my bro-in law I'd finish it to that corner. The walls three foot thick at the base. All told ive double shifted bloody hundreds and hundreds of tons of stone since ive been here, but no more now, huh.
Darrsi Frank the dog has been a great help, mentally not physically obviously lol, what with him not having opposable thumbs. Hence I built him a couch here and there. Frank does so love a couch... :)

I'm  brickie, but done a bit of stone work but in Bulwell dressed sand stone, never tried random stone work and ain't going to either. It was bad enough lifting the old 3" blues never mind the boulders in that wall.
