Here we go again......I've finished my rebuild at last & during the latter stages of the process I did indeed, address my fuel gauge/sender issues. However, despite all advice applied to my sender/wires, my fault persists.
Is it possible to install a picture of my Fazer here anyplace..?

Posting a pic here's easy....
In the same way you replied to the message in the thread....
Go down a wee bit it says Additional Options, press that and then Add attachment then choose file, that's it, post your pic that way.
Oh that's providing your using a phone, think on computer it's easier :)

edit: it's just the same way!

That is a very clean bike.
What did you do to the swingarm? is it painted?

I was wondering that too, looks a nice and clean job but also noticed the notches at the rear bolt are not visible, don't think that's a good idea :thumbdown

Swingarm painted, re-anodising a bit too expensive! I try to do all the work to minimise costs. Plating however, is not within my capabillity.
Yes, the alignment marks are there for me to see. The trick is to file the grooves a little prior to paint application.

Well, this seems a continuous story! I've now addressed the wiring/plug/socket, tightening the washer, ensuring the cover fits over correctly.....& still my guage reads full when it pleases.

I've had this issue with my fuel gauge this week, after removing the gauge and testing and it all checking out ok  I noticed one of the terminals on the fuel sender had been rubbing on the frame causing the sender to earth out and the gauge to read full. After finding this i repaired the insulation and put some foam on the frame to prevent it happening again.

Well, I'm pleased to see this issue remains constantly in progress. I have tried every cure mentioned herein, without success. In fact, over tightening the small washer on the sender appeared to produce a very slow gauge reading response. So, if a 'permanent' cure is found, I'm still anxious to read more.......

Hi all. I've been around the block on this fuel gauge thingy, new sender & all! I've yet to acquire another set of clox to try however. I now notice that when cold the gauge reads fine. When hot (after a few miles only) the gauge reads full. Would this be the fuel gauge? Anyone tried this route?
