« on: 04 January 2016, 08:21:56 pm »
I received a parking charge notice for  £100 when i got home claiming that i parked overnight at the Hengrove imperial park on the 23rd dec 2015 , this is horse shit as i picked my daughter up from her cleaning job in town at approx 20.30 on 23/12/15  , they claim i entered the car park at 17.02 on the 23/12/15 which i did to buy some plastic sheeting from B&Q and that i left at 11.51 on the 24/12/15 which i did to get my wife a surprise present from Boots , but i didn't stay overnight , either there camera system is flawed or it is a deliberate scam , has anyone else had a similar  problem .

« on: 14 May 2015, 04:39:44 pm »
I just came within a yard of being killed by a small blue van running a red light on the Hartcliffe way , I was jogging down the Hartcliffe way , stopped at the lights , waited for them to change to red , the cars coming up the hill stopped , the cars turning right stopped , I started jogging , I got level with the car , looked up the blue van didn't want to be inconvenienced by the red light and nearly hit me , he made no attempt to stop to see if I was ok , want an absolute, cnut . I wonder how he would feel if one of his nearest and/ dearest got killed by an assh ole running a red light . Note to self , just cos you have right of way remember the green cross code .

Couldn't believe some of the hit and runs in the program and the punishments for people causing serious injury or death to people is  no deterrent what so ever  (200 hours community service and suspended sentences ) and yet the same program the gangs conning insurance companies were getting much heavier sentences , what a focced up justice system we have , the courts obviously value money more than people , I think I will be investing a helmet cam for the bike and a dashboard cam for the car .

Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / Vibration from front end when braking
« on: 20 September 2014, 06:50:05 pm »
I have been getting vibration from the front when braking , happens about 25% of the time , mileage is 34700 , pads were changed 9000 miles ago .
I have taking the callipers off the bike to check the thickness of the pads ( not too sure if there ok or not , they look ok  compared to the picture in the workshop book ) see picture below , I have pushed the front end down whilst braking hard and the forks feel ok , I have raised the front end and spun the wheel , it moves freely and no binding , I have taken the front wheel off to check for movement in the forks and couldn't feel any .

General / Umbrella scam
« on: 06 June 2014, 09:26:30 pm »
Any other Foccers been caught out by this , started agency work this week and found out it started April , any temporary worker who is not a limited company , is deemed to be Paye and are paid through an umbrella company and classed as an employee of that company , but you have to pay both Employees national insurance and employers national insurance which is about 18% , plus your tax the amount will depend on your tax code , and they stop about 12% of your money as holiday pay , which you can get back every 12 weeks . you can offset some of your tax by claiming mileage which is 45p per mile and claim subsistence if you are away from your home for so many hours a day but you have to keep receipts if you claim the subsistence in case you get investigated . There was a protest march in London about this , and there have been some mass walkouts from larger sites , although I have not read anything in the press about it . So much for the governments pledge to reward the workers , funnily enough it was the Tories who scrapped the SE60 just before they lost the 97 election .
Thankfully I don't do much agency work , but I feel sorry for any poor sods who do .

General / Cancelling holiday due to illness advice .
« on: 07 May 2014, 09:08:32 pm »
Mum and dad were due to go on cruise with Royal Caribbean on the  14th june , but she has to have a vital operation on the 9th june  , so they won't be able to go , the balance of the holiday had to be paid 16 weeks before the holiday , so they have paid the £4000 , the insurance company have told them that they are not covered because its a recurring illness ,is it worth dad trying to appeal to the companys better nature and see if they can transfer the holiday when mum is better .

Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / nail or screw in tyre .
« on: 09 March 2014, 07:12:02 pm »
Whilst riding today the front tyre hit something , when I got to Minehead , I spun the front wheel to check and could see a nail flush with the tyre just off centre . I Checked the pressure before I left and it hadn't lost any pressure , whilst riding home it occasionally felt like the tyre was hitting something . When I got home I checked the tyre again , but no sign of the nail , or any sign of a hole , is it possible for a nail to be pushed into the tyre and that's what I felt whilst riding home .
