Have you checked the chain to ensure correct tension, lube and that none of the links are siezed or stiff??

Sadly I have reached the descision to try and pass my fazer off as a going concern. I cannot afford the time with the bike of the road to do the work before winter sets in :(
I will get some pics and the full details of the mot failures and advisories and will be posting it soon in the for sale section, prob around £900

Unfortunately I pretty much need the bike every day. My commute to work is a 30 mile round trip, buses do not allow for me to get to work nor leave on time.......I can call in favours and get lifts occasionally but it's a bit hit n miss!

Brake pads all round, both tyres at legal limit, excessive corrosion on both stanchions, steering head bearing. Advisories on rear disk scored and swing arm bearing. The rest is just cosmetic, engine and radiator  could do with repainting. The front fairing is cracked. If I had a garage and a couple of free weeks I would be able to tackle it :(

Due to a reasonable  lack of TLC and funds I find myself in a position where I'm going to have to let my trusty 02 foxeye go :(
It doesn't need a huge amount, but I need it every day and without a garage to work in I cannot do the work to properly prepare it for winter. I'm torn between selling it as a going concern/ project bike or maybe trying to break it as spares?........as stated I don't have a garage or shed, so breaking it will involve me filling the spare bedroom with most of the bike whilst the wife nags  me is it gone yet!!! :(

It's unlikely to be the solenoid, if it was stuck there would be no noise and jump leads wouldn't make a difference. The solenoid needs very little current to operate. More likely to be the starter motor stalling when in certain positions.

I really hope the battery does sort it for you!
But I would have thought a battery issue would be a more  regular fault rather than an intermittent one?
If it doesn't sort it, I still think starter motor. Good luck

Smoke and mirrors, all I know it is costing me about £600 a month in my pension and other savings as I live in France.
It's not any better for us still in the UK: (

The leave lot certainly did not hang about before jumping ship. The lot of them are a disgrace. Hopefully May can pull it together now and we can move on.

I really do hope so!!!!!
I can't help feeling this is all smoke and mirrors and a bit of a pantomime?
Hopefully  it's just my paranoid head

Choice?????........... what choice!!!!! You mean a decision was made...... everyone in a position to deal with it deserted............ and what we are left with is the last man or woman standing!!!!!!!!

As voted I would get it re plugged from the inside by a reputable tyre fitter, if they are not happy and recommend replacing then replace.

They're not gonna be happy, with the prospect of the sale of a new tyre!
Depends how often you buy tyres from them,I had exact same scenario. Plugged it myself did 500miles on it and took it to the garage that normally fit my tyres. He happily replugged it for me stating that the stop n go are fine temporary but a proper mushroom plug would see the tyre Thru. Never had a problem 3k later
