Get a kit and rebuild the master cylinder the fazer has awesome brakes when all is sorted, sintered pads help too

Should be fine to helicoil.as you have access to engineers etc you could drill a hole in the pin and use an R clip like the front pins

Mine has mismatched forks ie adjusted on one leg oe shock 15 years old however the old girl still handles as proven at the Tt over the mountain this year my advice!! Change the fork oil set front and rear sag as per previous advice then experiment with ONE end at a time and write down how it feels on that setting ie more front preload does it turn into a corner quicker?  Suspension is a black art but worth knowing. Its the best way to make a bike faster than tuning.

Most modern sports touring tyres will serve your needs,ive been using metzeler z6 for the past two years and love them esp at £160 a pair! I believe the pirelli equivelents are a little cheaper.

Check the fuel line hasnt been pinched or kinked then try it with the old airfilter some of the pattern filters dont fit as perfectly

all is not lost they are £3.83 each from yamaha aj sutton has them in stock,look them up on the web great people and easy to deal with,and a great site lists every part and price for the fazer.

or just send it to powerhouse automotive who will do it all for you they have have just totally refurbed mine including recoating it looks and works like new :b
