To be honest the fueling issues were exaggerated. It only really affects the 2006 model. I have a 2007 and was perfectly fine. I've fitted a power commander now but that was due to modifications

Your best and possibly (knowing yamaha) cheaper option is to get the seat recovered with the addition of either a gel or memory foam pad put in.
The price varies depending on who you go to and how you want the seat to look but generally for less than £100 you can have a lovely custom seat that's a lot more comfortable and looks a lot better too.

To be honest I've found gloves make a huge different with this. If I wear my thin mx style gloves then it's really bad but if I've got my thicker race ones on it barely noticeable.
Also have you tried the gel grips? Never used then myself but are meant to make a big difference

I'm always mixed on this issue. On yhe one hand I believe you should be allowed to wear (or not wear) whatever you like, helmet included, but I do get where your coming from. It doesn't bother me as much on a moped as that's just a given with that kind of bike but when you see some idiot on a gsxr/fireblade/zxr in a pair of shorts then does make me wonder what's going through their heads. With the wide range of kit avaliable these days there's just not excuse. I personally wear a Mesh jacket and gloves with kevlar jeans and vented boots when it's warm and it's perfectly comfortable.
Another option I'm thinking of trying is motocross armour over a tshirt. Not complete protection but as good as you can get while keeping cool

Hi Nelly and welcome. Yiu may have had your question answered by now but just in case.... I believe the rule is that the bike cannot make more than double the restricted limit as stock. So as long as it starts off with lead that 96bhp yiu can have it restricted. I'm not sure what the 600 makes but I know the old thundercat it was based off made 100bhp so you'd have to check 👍

A red 600 rode along side me today in Cleethorpes. I'm not clued up on models but I believe it was the fzs600? (Older one with single side exhaust)
Either way was a very nice bike and the guy said hello at the lights.
