Go for o/e - you already know the o/e front is known to be best - o/e chain is endless, I've got a new kit meself for future use.  Not bothered about messing with non-standard gearing for road, I'll be doing the same as you when it's needed, ie. swingarm off and greasing up etc.  So your asking the question, but methinks you really know the answer already?  ;)  I paid £149 posted for full genuine kit, shoulda been £179 but some dealers prepared to haggle, 'specially on Ebay.  Don't forget to fit a new tab washer too, not worth the chance. :)

£149 thats a great deal....just paid £115 for did from fwr london...and an extra £70 for workshop quality riviter/spiltter....taking the swinging arm out is easy and you can clean and re-greese the shock link at the same time  :D

no...no...no...dont accept this as a acceptable repair,it will eventually leak again, and yes it is a bodge.best option is second hand tank as suggested by FAZERIDER.ask on here if anyone can help sourcing the right colour tank...ebays worth a check too and local breakers  ;)

To be honest they didn't really need adjusting at all.
I spent ages at work with a vernier hunting for a washer that's 0.75mm so i can keep it in my wallet for future though.  :lol
My K&N air filter has just turned up at work, finally, 11 days after ordering, so i'll pop that in tomorrow  :)

11 days  :eek ....who did you order with  ;)

would probably work but i just wouldn't trust a split link

yes ..i know what you mean......going back a few years, hondas twin cylinder cb 500 had a link, and i know of a few that failed  :eek ........but never heard of one failing on the thundercat  :D

you can buy a connector for the ht leads... cut the lead on your coil and fit a new lead........however this will create a join which will attract moisture and the problem is most likly to be within the coil itself.....best bet is used coils....try ebay or something similar  ;)
