« on: 18 September 2017, 06:22:38 pm »
Once a few years ago when I had an aprilia rs 125.  I got pulled over for speeding. Got sat in the back of there car. Good cop was saying that they wouldn't take any further action for speeding as they wasn't recording and was heading back to station. Bad cop turned out to be a trainee vehicle inspector and actually sat on the kerb at about 11pm with a folder a ruler and a torch. Measuring this that and whatever else.

Anyway long story short he gave me a prohibition notice for having a faulty front brake. ( him saying that the fluid level was below minimum although he checked it while leaning over on the side stand and not with the bike upright. ) anyway the prohibition notice didn't allow me to even ride my bike home. Only about 1 mile but up hill. So I had to push. He said I had to keep my helmet on as I had to push it on The road not the path.

They even bloody waited till I got half way up the hill to make sure I didn't jump on Or even start it up and walk at side in 1st gear.

They said that if I got bike sorted and re mot. And produced at station within 1 week that everything be fine. ( which I did )

Anyway 8 months later court summons thru post. 3 points £80 odd fine. Jobsworth.

Anyway sorry for blabbering on but pisses  me off. But that's what I was made to do. Weather it's law or not I don't know probably him just being pissed of they couldn't get me for speeding.

Yes donnington a much better track built for bikes. I think silverstone is alright but definatly suits f1 more than motorbikes.

Fingers crossed donnington can pull it off and put a decent bid in to hold the gp there for a few years. Will bring the crowds back in. I read silverstone was down 17000 in attendance from last years gp. Circuit of wales seems to be a no go and silverstone lacks atmosphere for me. Would be nice seeing the go boys over the mountain at cadwel tho ;)

To be fair I think repsol having Marquez as the number one rider wouldn't be bothered losing  pedrosa. And I think crutchlow would be the ideal replacement. Already proven he has what it takes. Numerous podiums on a satellite Yamaha ( forget the Ducati year but you could name a few top riders who want to forget Ducati years ) and a podium finisher  and two race winner on a satellite Honda. If that doesn't make him worthy of a full factory repsol Honda what does.

With the level of Brit riders in the gp at the moment and the start of the British rookie cup and Moto 3 team would be great to see a top level British rider on a top bike. Shame he couldn't of replaced Lorenzo and stayed at Yamaha tho

Anyone know how to get a petition going for that if sign ................

Welcome f4celess

Great forum lots of good advice and lots more banter
Fairly new myself

A lot of great pictures of peoples bikes and upgrades and also places where people have visited.
If there's something that some people on here don't know it's probably not worth knowing

Get some pictures on with your bike and your upgrades. Interested in what clocks you have. Been looking at a few mods myself

FZS600 Fazer / Re: FZS600 Tail conversion / Swaps (Sports bike grafted)?
« on: 05 September 2017, 10:56:58 am »

I've looked into this a bit and figured that if I build an entire seat unit with all electrics in place so I can unplug the lighting and unbolt the frame I should be able to switch and bolt on a new subframe and plug the new lighting in.

Although I'd do most of the work myself with a fabricator mate finishing off the welding. Is there any mot issues regarding strength that might arise ? How did it go with your r1 rear end ?

A "hot swappable" rear end. :)  Could devise a "universal" loom connector (coming from the bike), so both swappable tail sections (café racer / race) have an identical mating Connector (for lighting / indicators etc), and just plug straight into the bike. Could literally be a 5 minute job to swap tail sections. Both swappable rear subframes would have 4 mounting lugs of identical dimensions/positions, so they mate to the rear frame of the Bike, where corresponding lugs are welded on. This sounds a great idea!

Exactly what I was thinking. Could even make the original tail u it subframe to match the new lugs so you could technically put it back to standard.

He there great idea. I've been looking into doing the same thing myself. I'm wanting to do a bolt on version too as I'm looking to put a cafe racer / bonneville style subframe and seat on mine for when the misses is riding pillion. And then have a solo race style seat that I can switch to when I'm having a blast on my own.

Don't get me started on pedrosa. I don't think he should stil have the bike he's on he's been a factory honda rider for so long and never won a title. When u have the likes of folger zarco vineales crutchlow lowes. All decent riders on satellite bikes.

When we have had people come up to a factory bike do alright only to get replaced without a fare shot.

Probably to do with repsol wanting a Spanish rider. I'm to believe if not for the retirement of stoner then he would of been gone with Marquez been his replacement. Also think given different circumstances simoncelli would of been world champ by now on a factory repsol Honda.

Maybe my hopes of Rossi getting a tenth title are over for another year. I hear a Moto ranch accident and a broken tibia and fibula are to blame.

Stil surprised the Moto gp bosses and the Yamaha / honda / Ducati bosses. Still allow this kind of training. It seems that there are more accidents and injuries in these training than there is on track practice sessions.

Events, Meets, Ride outs etc / YOFO or NOFO
« on: 29 August 2017, 11:00:10 pm »
So I figured since there is a lofo for London foccers.
I figured we should have either a yorkshire or northern foccors group to organise ride outs and meets.
Looking on the members map there's plenty of us around yorkshire and the north in general.

« on: 29 August 2017, 06:18:06 pm »
Yeah when u look at the punch count first few rounds mcgregar was throwing 30/40/50 punches and landing 9/8/9
Mayweather was throwing 6/10/12 and landing 2/5/5

Round 9 and ten magregar threw 36/9 and landed 10/4 to
mayweathers thrown 68/28 landing 42/20

When u hear his press conference afterwards saying that he let magregar go for it early on knowing he wanted to knock him out. He was letting him tire himself before he came good and went back at magregar.

He out boxed him pure and simple
But the. Everyone knew he was going to out box him. .

They all seem to do it tho. Millions in the bank 1 week bankrupt the next.
All the fancy cars and the lifestyle posh clothes drink drugs gambling. Nothing better to do.
Whereas if he bought a fazer he could have endless fun out on the road and only spend his money
On fuel butties and brews  :rollin

Slight smile when Marquez saw smoke tho his dad is good for everyone else :)

So...

Come on then who do we think will win this year and who do we want to win

For me always want Rossi to win
but I think dovi will have a Moto gp title to his name come the end of the year

Hope he's back up and riding again soon.

There is a clear danger but most of the time it's avoided. I don't know a lot of statistics about crashes. But I'm guessing driver error of the cars involved are more to blame. I'm going to get shot for this comment but I think the vast majority of bikers I've seen are pretty sensible. Yeah throttle gets opened but not crazily and when and where is deemed a safe place to do it. There are the few that are balls out everywhere they go.

Yeah it was just entertainment.
Nothing more
And to be fair it was entertaining
But it was like asking Bradford bulls to play Man Utd a football game at old Trafford.

Alvarez vs golovkin that will be the best fight this year. A proper boxing match. And got that my money's on golovkin all the way

To my mind it was a one sided fight 2 completely different fight disciplines, it's like entering a horse in the grand national and tying it's back legs  together. It was purely about making money both for the fighters but mainly the promoters etc. If  they had fought under MMA rules Mayweather would not have lasted the first 3 rounds.

I'd be amazed if he lasted more than one round at MMA.

P
Like I say. I think that they should have a rematch but in magregars ring

Would be interesting now for a multi million dollar rematch in Ireland mma rules.
I bet the outcome would be completely different.i bet mayweather wouldn't last as long as what Conor did if the tables were turned.

Good result for both of them really as I bet no one expected Conor to go as far. And mayweather overtakes rocky Marciano to an incredible record of 50-0.

General / Re: Mayweather v McGregor

Yeah he did well. I do think he was knackered towards the end and that's when mayweather came strong. I think it's because he's not used to going for asking as a full boxing match. Would of been interesting ref hadn't of stopped it by two if he would of got a 2nd wind. Also if he lasted I think he probably could of won on points because he  was stronger in the earlier rounds.

Bet he was frustrated because he kept on going for a hammer punch to the back of the head like in UFC.
