Went to see mum , who has gone to hospice for respite care , what fantastic staff , when you consider it is funded from charity , that makes you proud to be British .

thinking of you and your mum mate

Had the misfortune of seeing staff in the critical care unit in Charing Cross Hospital 8 years ago when my brother was in there.
How the foc staff work in that place is totally beyond me?
I constantly whinge about having a shitty busy day at work, but these kind of people must go home and have nightmares everynight, i simply don't get how they switch off?
Got the utmost respect for all medical people, without them we'd all be doomed! :thumbup
Anytime someone cuts a finger at my work i always shout out "Get the defibrillator." which never seems to go down too well for some reason?

Got a really good friend who's a paramedic too, he's done the lot, rapid response, ambulance, helicopter, etc, and he's told me some amazing stories......but......if you vomit, you're on you're own.....he doesn't do puke at all! :b

Hospital staff in general all deserve medals.
I broke my hip a couple of years ago and my treatment was 2nd to none. I worked nights at the time and after getting over the initial shock and used to the med's I was up all night, the lass's on the ward waited hand and foot on me without once complaining

I fully understand it's their job, but you simply can't knock a medic.
Fortunately for me my doctor also drinks down my pub, i was off last year with a fractured hip and he was constantly asking if i was okay.
The downside was there was no room for the odd white lie when on his turf. :b

My Ex doc was a motorcyclist so I'd pop in for whatever reason and walk out half an hour later lol
