What is the fastest Web Browser?

I've got the latest Internet Explorer and Firefox, but they have been terribly slow the last few weeks.   Can anyone recommend a fast one?   I remember I had one on my old computer, which was a beta, or test one, and it was very quick, but I can't remember what it was?
Any ideas?

running Chrome on XP its bettter than firefox

but on Win 7 Firefox seems to rule the roost

thats for me so maybe try a few

Do a speedtest on your web connection first. It may be your broad band playing up.
