« on: 01 September 2019, 01:24:08 pm »
Hi new topic so as not to hijack the Bit coin thread, where the mention of nuisance phone calls is made. Brings to mind a cod call I received which went.
Cold caller
'' Hello sir I believe you have suffered from industrial hear damage.''
My reply
''Pardon could you speak up please''
I past away a bit of a slow evening continuing in this vain.

The article misses what could be the important missing link to happiness, a lot of Metal fans also liked motorcycles.

Right I have heard a lot of talk of cameras to record journeys, but I think this could be the best. (if it can keep up)

General / Driving whilst presenting TV.
« on: 26 March 2015, 10:16:03 pm »
I have noticed that a lot of TV programs have people driving along whilst presenting a the program or being interviewed by it. I think this is an awful thing as it is multi tasking and driving should not be a multi task. Or is it just me being fussy?

General / Biker undertaking.
« on: 10 February 2015, 10:16:02 pm »

I have watched this and the biker is wrong, I hope that this is a drive to sort out undertakers in cars as well also people who hog the wrong lane. Also drivers using mobile phone ect whilst driving. I will not be holding my breath.

General / Missing promises for election victory.
« on: 31 January 2015, 07:30:31 pm »
Missing promises for election victory. Well with a heading like this I m surprised you have looked this far, any how I got to thinking if we live in a democracy are there things missing from the will of the people at election times ( I m thinking here keep it fun and silly - entertaining)
I would like to propose that as many in our democracy like to go fast there should be a Mad Sunday style events in the UK. The speed limit could be removed from (for example) Snake pass once a year and the average speed cameras could give official times.
Is this a vote winner?
Do you have a better idea?

General / Canopy to canopy. A petrol head cultural ride out, may be.
« on: 03 September 2014, 08:29:39 pm »

I was looking at MSN and the listing of a petrol station canopy was reported and that lead me to find another one was listed in Nottinghamshire,( links below) I thought I must put them on my list to visit.
So why am I going on about it here, well I thought if a gathering was a popular idea up this way (Leicestershire) again it could be a ride out, feed back please.

General / Tax ''thiefing Scumbags''
« on: 03 March 2014, 11:01:46 pm »
It really winds me up when I hear this attitude to taxation, now do not get me wrong, it really winds me up when I see government, local government and quangos wasting public money on stupid or undeserving things ( very subjective).

But I am so glad I live in a civilisation where you get educated, your health is looked after, our nation is kept very much nearer to crime free.

So I pay tax which is a chunk of my earnings, but at the end if the day surely when most of us compare our life style to places round the world where the tax may well be less, our life style is fantastic, especially if you can moan about paying for your motorbike tax.

So the discussion should be about how our taxes are wasted.

General / Am I the only one.
« on: 26 September 2013, 10:36:18 pm »
Am I the only one getting fed up with comments many from members not even there on the day. I have been in this group for more than five years and it is a very interesting group, with many sub groups. Some I only know from chat on here, others I have been on events with and hardly ever hear on here. I have been on two ride outs with the LOFOs, a newer set with energy and enthusiasm.
Riding a motor bike is a risky activity at the best of times but when the traffic on the road gets heavy the risks go up.  On the worst ride out I have ever been on it went wrong for a member but he survived; his bike and some cars suffered.
A motorcycle is ridden by only one person, its been said by another on this forum that you should  ride as if everybody is out to get you. On that note when I did my bit of further training it was made clear that if a car pulls out in front of you and you run into it see it as your failing. You should have been expecting it to pull out in front of you. Was I at fault that day I set off on an event with a young man who did not finish the ride on his bike, who I feel may have been a victim of his inexperience.
I was left shocked initially by the accident I saw.
I have written this because I am fed up with seeing one member trying to off load a bad move onto another member and I get an inclination this could be heading toward bullying and harassment. I am also not happy to see at best banter towards a member on this subject by member who was not even there on the day

General / Sunday 1 Sept Silverstone traffic
« on: 29 August 2013, 09:13:41 pm »
I m doing the Lofo ride on Sunday and plan to head to Bicester down the A5 from the north passed Jacks cafe turn right onto the A43 to then turn left onto the A413 to head to Buckingham. Now there is a big event on at Silverstone so will I be able to use this route and how bad will the traffic be, travelling through there about 10am.
