Have you read some of the sellers negative feedback? I was looking a couple of bikes from this seller too. Always fancied an xt660r.

Use a 2pence piece across the terminals where the large leads attach to the solenoid. This will turn the bike over.

Check/change the front tyre. makes a huge difference to the noise thrown up via the gaps in the fairing.
Isn't the BT21 known to have road noise issues? I'm sure it's on here somewhere.

They are a double filament bulb so it sounds like the normal running light filament isn't working, once the original tool kit is out of the way they are pretty easy to change.

I buy a box of 10 stop and tail bulbs £2 from a local battery suppliers.

My friend has an immaculate KMX 125 with 6000 miles from new, great bikes, he'll never sell it. Top money for non abused ones on ebay though.

If you plan on doing lots of forks go for the adjustable one. If you want one specific for the just your fazer you'll need a 43mm one.

The link I posted was for a 48mm fork which I use on mx bikes.

The adjustable one is best though. Use it loads.

Haha. I don't know why but I enjoy doing forks. Really simple if you have the right tools.

Did this to mine a few years ago. Looked loads better afterwards. Nerve racking putting it in the oven 1st time around.

Anybody got one of these in perfect original condition? Mines cracked from blowing over in the wind earlier this year.

Thanks, Simon.

FZS600 Fazer / Re: Clutch Slip on new clutch :(
« on: 08 April 2014, 10:47:08 pm »
I had a similar issue years ago on my first Fazer.

Clutch started slipping, so installed a new set of plates and the slipping was still there, turned out that the front sprocket cover was so gunged up with chain lube on the inside it was stopping the arm from returning fully which was causing the slipping, might be worth a check.

I do mobile mechanics but in North Wales, I did a Blackbird 1100 at the owners house the other day and charged £30 to fit chain&sprockets, bled the clutch too.

A workshop local to me charge £150 plus parts but that's for a main service, oil/filter, coolant, brake fluid, calipers split/pistons out, valve check, carb balance, etc.

Have just stripped my wheels and sent them off to Triple S for powdercoating. Two rear disc bolts snapped, they were drilled out and helicoiled.

FZS600 Fazer / Re: What Racks do people have?
« on: 26 January 2014, 10:00:31 pm »
I'm interested in this as I'd like to have a set of side panniers(hard)but without a top box, I'd like to have something that when the panniers aren't on there isn't a massive rack hanging there.
