Try Richard Laymon, similar to Steven King but I prefer Laymon's writing. The Beast House trilogy is really good.

I sold a zx6r 2001 a few years ago to a polish guy for £1800 and he said in Poland the same bike would cost him £3000 so he was taking it back to Poland with him. No surprise all these bikes end up in Eastern European countries if that's true about the prices. Somebody's making £1000 profit per bike to take a van load over.

Totally agree with you Gnasher.

I used to work with about ten 18-21 year old girls and when they went out they would get in some right states, go home with guys they didn't know, take all sorts of drugs, they love this type of life.

2 of them got in a car with two guys they didn't know and ended up near Birmingham and had to escape into a field when they stopped at a round about.

Women in these examples have to take part of the blame as unfortunately we live in a world where someone will take advantage and commit rape, which wouldn't happen if they didn't put themselves in those situations.

Rode the 'Evo Triangle' road in north Wales, pretty local to me(Rhos-on-Sea). Was really impressed with how amazing it was, loved the A543 Pentrefoelas to Denbigh part.

No worries. They can look nice in white, there was a nice one on here painted by Deefer which looked great.

Went for a 60 mile ride on some local roads to me near Betws-y-Coed, it was cold but I enjoyed it.

I've got the R&G ones, five years old and still going strong.

I soldered the positive to the live off the rear brake light switch.

Try telling that to our mechanics at work about the fleet of BMW's and they'd happily stick a steel toecap where the sun don't shine!

And my mate at work with his 13 plate Gs1200 that keeps leaking!

I'll stick with my Jap bikes thanks. About 1/4 million miles covered, and never had a Jap bike let me down! My Aprilia was a different matter though

Totally agree about Bmw, they were known to be reliable a long time ago but now they are just awful. My local dealership is booked up with constant warranty work. If it's not the 'wonder wheel' switch gear going every few months, it's engines being replaced, front shock bushes, etc. the list of warranty issues is pretty much endless to be honest.

What about an fjr1300. Some nice ones on eBay for £3500. Shaft drive, big fairing, adjustable screen, hard luggage, etc.

I fancy one but I want to keep my 600.

The triumph tiger is nice, I work in a bike shop and get to test ride many different bikes and I enjoyed the 800 one lately.

I have my sun visor down all the time including night time!! because I don't need to look at that bit of sky and especially not at night when its dark!!
[/quote]

I don't get it, If you had a solid black sticker across your windscreen the same size as the sun blind the cops would probably say it was illegal.

Each to their own I suppose.

There has been a lot of issues with new BMW's, a friend has two and will opt to pay for extra warranty if he owns them outside of the normal warranty.

I really hate people who drive with the sun blind down in anything other than bright weather, some idiots drive at night that with it down too. No excuse for it, oh and 40 in a 60 annoys me too.

I'm a cyclist and I use the flashing lights but I don't ride during the night so I just use the rear one.

Something like this.

What I usually do is use a big phillips screwdriver.

Attach the top part of the spring in its upper mounting point and then wedge the screwdriver on the lower mounting point on the stand with the spring hooked around the screwdriver, lever it down which will extend the spring over the stands mounting point, from there you can hook the spring over the lower mounting.

Hope that makes sense, works every time for me with stand springs.

They really are great bikes. I don't see me ever selling mine.

I'm considering this R6 shock upgrade. Looks like a good option.

FZS600 Fazer / Re: torque arm
« on: 31 October 2014, 07:09:25 pm »
I've got a powdercoated swingarm with the fazer 1000 caliper and torque arm without any issues in 20,000 miles.

Might just be lucky but no problems as of yet. I do see the thinking of keeping with the original torque arm though.

At least you're going to view it, you're right about the negative feedback being about the not viewing before buying. Hope you get it, these are great bikes once you get the fuel injection sorted out.

Found a pic that always made me want one :-)
