i have not had one fault with maxxis Tyre either the sport touring Tyre or the super sports they don't do the touring tires anymore just made the sport touring ones capable for bout rather than touring sport and super sport even the super sports which are the ones i always run a great in all weather have even rode in the heavy snow on them and they didn't spin not even a little only tires i will ever run on my bikes put it that way.

ah right sorry read it wrong lol yeah i have had it scraping only a couple of times but thanks for your advice it has widened my knowledge about tyres in general probs saved me a bit on buying bits but knowing me at some point will still put a wider tyre and wheel on it just for looks i like the look of wider tyres and it (hopefully) will either not make a difference or improve it at the same time but can always change back if it makes the handling crap cant see why is its that size on th4e newer fazers.

i run maxxis super sports and the front is alright if they done a 110 i would fit it but they don't unfortunately its the back one that going to the limit so that's the tyre i am interested in changing.

i got 120/60 160/60 at the moment but as good as it is in the corners i have always got the back tyre to the limit on corners so just feel that bigger tyre will do me better just a bit easier to get a pair of 120 180 than 120 170 but will look into it thanks for your in put is a great help

You changed front wheel, or just put fatter tyre? 120 on standard wheel can cause funny steering, stranger falling into corners.
Putting fatter, heavier tyres will not help your cornering that much. Get a proper race bike if driving it to the edge is what gets you off.
Just my 2 cents.

no i just changed the tyre as the tyres i prefer only tend to come in the 120 on the front and either 160 or 180 for the back thats why i was looking at changing the back wheel for the 180 tyre.

also i wern't looking at putting the 180 tyre on the standard rim. don't need a race bike to lean the bike over in a corner all i said was that i am getting the back tyre to the limit the front with the 120 on still got about half inch either side not used.

but can see now i am basically changing the wrong number on the tyre i need to be going more 160/70 on the back rather than sticking with the 160/60 or going 180.

FZS600 Fazer / swing arm exchange
« on: 18 May 2012, 03:53:50 pm »
Not sure if it been asked on here yet but out of curiosity does anyone know what swing arms pretty much swap straight over on to 2001 Fazer so that you can have the bigger 180 tyre on.

like r1, r6, fazer1000, newer fz6 etc or off honda kawasaki suzuki anything just want to change and upgrade suspension at the same time.

Thanks in advance people.
