For Sale & Wanted / 2002 Foxeye for sale
« on: 12 November 2017, 10:01:48 am »
It pains me but I have decided to sell my bike, which I have had from new, much loved but just not used now. Don't get me wrong she has been well used with just under 64k on the clock.
She is blue, has a hugger and double bubble screen, aftermarket indicators. Aftermarket exhaust system with a delkevic end can. Scotoiler and braided front hoses.
Within the past two years she had the camchain replaced, good tyres, chain may need doing soon but MOT until end of April, pretty much full service history with all MOT certs, receipts etc
She has some cosmetic damage, as in a few scratches etc (diesel spill a couple of years ago, but the crashbungs did the job and prevented lots of damage)
In the past couple of years she has maybe done 600 miles.
I think I have lost my mojo for the bike, moved to a different area and its just all faded away...rather than having her sat in the garage I'd rather have someone use her.
Happy to send pictures once I have dusted her off. No offers £1,200
Please PM if you are interested

Well done!! :D
I am south of Taunton
Just for the record...I am no stalker.
Pretty new to the area, not the forum though. I think I have been on here on and off since I bought my fazer almost 15 years ago.
Spend most of my time with her in the North East and the West Midlands.
I have a claim to fame from one of the spring meets many many moons ago....just mention giant jenga and naked races round the campsite  :eek

For a  blue 2002 FSZ600. I did have the original Yamaha one and really like the style even if it was very flimsy.

I am in Wellington...went out for my first proper run last week, took in Porlock Hill and Lynton. Was a good day out!

Shudder! Porlock Hill, I've done that exact same trip on a number of bikes and no matter how slowly I'm riding, it still never feels like I'm going to get round some of those corners on the hill, then of course there's always the danger of suicidal sheep and ponies as you cross the moor. Lovely when you get to Lynton though with those stupendous views which kind of compensates for all the stress of getting there. As you've probably guessed, I'm not the bravest biker in the world! Ride safe!
Never mind the ponies and sheep....fecking tourists are the worst! The ones that go so slow you could pick flowers during the ride/drive or the ones that stop dead in the road....like they have never seen a fecking horse before.
Anyway since we are like neighbours, let me know if you fancy a bimble sometime...

Thanks guys. Very helpful.  :)
I thought top end would be about £500, which I am happy to pay.
The fazer has been with me from new and actually very attached to it.
For that amount I wouldn't be able to pick up a bike where I know the history.
I did 99.9% of the mileage on this one...

Just over 62k....and the problem was diagnosed by my mechanic.
She can't do the job as she hasn't the equipment and equally doesn't know anyone that would do the job.

For Sale & Wanted / Wanted - 2002 Fazer Parts
« on: 27 February 2015, 09:17:24 am »
Since I binned my fazer on some diesel last summer :'( now its time to put it back on the road, does anyone have the following for a 2002 Blue FZS600S - I would hope for parts to be in a reasonable condition:

Tailpiece fairing including grabrail (basically the whole thing or even just the left hand panel with the rear bit where the light sticks in - very technical me :rolleyes) but I do need a grabrail as my old one is well and truly fucked!

rear left hand side footpeg and hanger
handlebars

I find it difficult to find any hits on sites like ebay for the tailpiece and the handlebars, everything else I have been able to find aftermarket.....any help is appreciated

Thanks

Does anyone go to Bassetts Pole on a Tuesday evening (I think?) have heard that it's quite a big meeting place for bikers and wondered what your experiences / thoughts are on it. Also, any decent meeting places in the midlands / tamworth areas?

Lots of blokes with small penises & lots of plod usually with the CCTV van when the weather is nice, I stay well clear

FZ6 / Fazer / Headlight Fuse Keeps Blowing
« on: 23 July 2012, 08:23:43 pm »
I have a 2002 FZS6 - I went to a rally a couple of weeks back and it turned out to be a rather moist one. The bike was stood in a field for a couple of days with constant rain pouring on it.

On the way home the headlights went and it turned out to be a fuse, I changed the fuse and it appeared ok - until I washed the bike and then the same thing happened again... :'(

To me it sounds like there is maybe an exposed/corroded wire somewhere that is getting wet and then shorting out?

Any other suggestions as to what this could be?
