FZS600 Fazer / Re: What have you done to your FZS600 bike today
« on: 27 July 2019, 07:33:41 pm »
Moved mine to the back garden for wash and polish before putting her up for sale, reason being I've just bought a 2nd gen FZ1!

That's a true story right there ☝️ :lol

4
Thanks, just gotta slowly start changing a few stock items, tail tidy, indicators & can!
Still got my FZS600, love that old girl. 😊

5
So after checking out all the things suggested above I bought the bike, and may I just say I got a real bargain and a stunner of a bike!
So let me introduce...., Melisandre (Red witch from GoT), she has a bit of an evil streak!

6
What was the recall for do you know by any chance?

7
Thanks to you both for the advice, I will bare it mind whilst looking at it.
If it's a successful purchase I'll post up some pics!

Hi guys and gals, I'm looking at a very nice conditioned, low mileage 08 FZ1 Tuesday, what should I be looking out for apart from the obvious checks, it also has a full service history?

Hi foccers, I'm buying a new (to me) bike from Goole in Yorkshire next Tuesday, if anyone is nearby it'd be great to meet if you fancy it?

Perfect, thank you for all your replies, I'm off to a place called 'Orbital Fasteners' tomorrow to pick one up, my OCD won't allow me to take one from the tank cover 🤣🤣🤣

It was from Amazon, £52 + £12 delivery, it's a really nice cover, well made & very comfortable, the link is below!

Looking for £1,600 elsewhere, but to a fellow foccer £1,400 (plus loads of original spares.)
Location: Watford

So my much loved FZS600 is up for sale.
I've had this bike three years and serviced it twice in this period, this month it has had..
Fork oil 15w & seals changed,
Oil, air & fuel filter changed,
NGK plugs,
Castrol Power 1 oil change,
New coolant,
New EBC front rotors & pads,
Carbs cleaned & new bowl seals, float seats & needles.
Cameleon vinyl colour changing wrap,
New seat cover,
New ultra bright LED sidelight.

MOT until June 2020, no advisories.
It has an HID conversion on left headlamp, Oxford heated grips, dual USB charger & META 357T v2 alarm (with two fobs & code card)
The clock shows 76,000 miles, bit this is not true representation, 2010 it was on 24,000 at MOT, 2011 it was presented at MOT with no speedometer (it was not working I was informed at purchase) 2012 MOT it had a replacement Speedo but showed 68,000 (off another bike) it's now showing 76,000 and I've done just over 6000 of them in the last three years.

£1600 elsewhere but to a fellow foccer £1400.

Here is a video link to view.

I know this is off topic but relates slightly to the post title.
I've noticed a slight smell of fuel from my filler hole when the flap is closed & upon comparison with my friends Fazer I seem to be missing a small hex bolt from under the filler cap, there is the obvious fuel filling hole & then the rubber bung (with hole) by the hinge but next to that I have an empty hole where he has a nut (hex type), does anyone know what this is for and by any chance have one I could purchase?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the quick reply, I ordered the Raximo set now (£88) but if I don't get on with them then I'll put them up for sale here!
Just a quick question though, where did you get your long versions from?

Howdy all you filthy foccers, I was wondering what your opinions on Raximo short levers are, I'm looking to swap mine out but am wary of the cheaper Chinese ones on fleabag, these are what I'm looking at?

Sorry for such a late reply, my notifications didn't remind me of your reply, is this still up for grabs?

Yeah I agree the tick over was a little low, but that was a cold start with no choke, picks up a bit after a few mins.
The goo from the airbox was kind of a caramel colour & thicker than just coolant, that stain on the ground has dried out from what dripped last night.
