As soon as you switch the ignition on the relay starts to click and the neutral light flashes on and off in unison with the clicking, the starter doesn't even turn the engine over. I will check with a multimeter tomorrow. Cheers guys.

Had an issue with the 'bobling head' sydrome on mine but only with a pillion, sorted it with an MRA screen with the adjustable vane. Might be worth a shot.

FZS600 Fazer / Multi relay clicking
« on: 18 April 2018, 05:52:16 pm »
First day off in ages with good weather so thought I'd give me and the Fazer an 'airing'.  Switched on the ignition had the fuel pump prime and then the neutral light went out and heard a 'clicking from under the left side panel and the neutral flicked on and off in sequence with the clicks.  Took the panel off and traced this to a multi plug relay about the size of a box of matches - 3EN-81950-00 along the top. Anyone else had an experience with this? :'(

Just watched your youtube vid of getting lost in Preston, you were sooooo close to the right route!  At @ 3mins you should have gone straight on at the lights, through two more sets, down under the Uni bridge ad througt the next lights and bear left towards the docks. Then right at the lights at the end.  Should save you @ 20mins riding round the town centre which is a nightmare!

Just to let you know I won't be using the bike for a while but if you want to come over to see it just message me on here, I live in Accrington and it's dead easy to find lol.

The seat is by Bagster, part of Baglux. Don't know if they still do them for the FZS600 though.

There are pics on here. Look under FZS600 USD fork conversion query. Around Feb 15 2008. Just added wave discs a little while later and now has Superbike Low bars

Not been on the site for a while, but it was my bike you saw. I work at the Harley shop. If you want any details of the bike just call in and ask for John.

Hi Steve,

just seen your thread re the R1 conversion. Had this done on mine in 2004 got a company called Tes Performance in East Grinstead to do it, they made some custom yokes which angle down to keep the ride height the same and allows the use of the original front wheel. Might be worth giving them a ring.

Moff, not been here for a while - can't believe your still here - how you doing?

Why not give Maxton a ring, they may be able to set up your standard forks.  They're brilliant, set up my 600 with a 2002 R1 front end - awesome!

The straight bars were reasonably comfortable but they have been changed now for Renthal superlows.

In answer to the revalving question most manufacturer settups are a 'that'll do' affair, people like Maxton can the fine tune them so they operate more smoothly. In the case of mine it was horrendous with the standard R1 internals but after they were 'tweeked' it is now pretty damn good.

Hi Guys, took a different route when I fitted the R1 front end, had some custom yolks made which keep the ride height the same for shorter forks.
You will need to have the internals re-valved and possibly softer springs as well - mine rode like an absolute pig until I let Maxton loose on them.
I'll try to post some pics.
