General / Scala G9 Bluetooth Unit
« on: 19 November 2012, 05:06:00 pm »
I have just purchased a new scala G9 unit and when I go to use it the default language is FRENCH!

Trouble is the instructions to change the language settings are within the voice command menu which, yes you guessed it, are also in French.

Does anyone have one of these units? if so, can you tell me how to return the default languae back to English.

Merci

I have used one for ages and just updated it to the new Neotec. Brilliant helmet, very comfy and quiet especially if you fit the whisper kit.

If you have a decent budget and are using the bike for daily commuting to work etc I would recommend you take a look at the BMW R1200RT, or if you want something with a lot more grunt try the K1300GT.

I have ridden most of the bikes previously mention, both as an owner and through using them as Blood Bikes and have found all have benefit/faults but on the whole the beemers are the best all round package.

The R1200RT is extremely comfortable for long periods in the saddle, has great carrying capacity, the power delivery is silky smooth and very predicatble especially in the wet.

The K1300GT is much the same, except the 160bhp in-line four motor is a peach! A real wolf in sheeps clothing. It can crack a genuine 160mph and the handling is superb, I have put several "superbike" riders to shame.

If you don't fancy a big tourer type of bike and are looking for a great bike for hooning around on, test ride a KTM Super Duke!  :evil

For those of you wanting to know how to join, try logginging onto the NABB website - Bloodbikes.org.uk

You should be able to register an interest which will be forwarded to your local group who will, if they operate the same way we do in Devon, get in touch with details of how the charity operates. If you are still interested, you will be sent an induction pack and details of who your area co-ordinator is. In Devon, we will meet up with prospective members for a chat to find out a bit about you and to answer any questions you may have about us. You will also need to do a check ride to make sure you are up to the standards we require. Upon completion of the induction process you will be issued with an ID card, high-viz vest and job pad. I alsways take a prospective member on a couple of jobs so that they can see how to do things before we unleash them on the big bad world.

For anyone in Devon that may be interested, give me a call on 0777 587 5237 for a chat.

« on: 14 March 2012, 08:50:33 pm »
The Nationwide Association of Blood Bikes is forced to meet rising fuel prices year on year. NABB's single biggest running cost is fuel.
NABB not only save the NHS considerable monies, they provide a much needed out of hours medical essentials courier service, free of charge - entirely run by volunteers and charitable donations.

Allowing NABB member groups to recoup fuel duty would be of major benefit and allow NABB to expand it's vital service operations.
We call on the government to have an urgent review of this situation and in doing so we call on the government to return in the form of grants to NABB member groups all the future fuel duty which the Treasury collects from them.

Did he win today? No! so therefore he is a loser.

Has he won a major? No! so therefore he is a loser.

Does it look like he will ever win a major? No! so he will continue to be a loser.

Thats my opinion and I am perfectly entitled to hold it, if you don't like it don't read the post and respond to it

I seem to recall not so long ago that Mr Murray made a huge point of saying he would support any team that were playing against England, so I will support any player that is playing against him.

Richfzs, I don't play tennis so I would be extremely surprised if Djokovic did ever say that about me however I support many many more gracious sportsmen and women than that charmless burk Murray regardless of what sport they play.

Have you thought about the Insignia?

Whole different league from the pile of crap previously made by Vauxhall, good performance and economy and loaded with standard equipment.

Looking at buying a helmet camera but not sure what to go for. I am tempted by the Conour Roam HD, does anyone have any experience of this or any other camera?

Shocking news, watched the race this morning and am still stunned.

Not a good week for motorsport with Dan Wheldon and Marco both being taken from us
