Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / Alternatives to the fzs1000?
« on: 24 May 2018, 06:10:12 pm »
Hello thou riders,

I love my fzs600 but it's time for something bigger. Are there any viable alternatives to the thou? I hope I don't set off a lynch mob  :evil
Need Not necessarily be as powerful as the thou but still more powerful than the 600 and with a similar riding position and easy to add luggage to? Am I blind or is there actually nothing?

Any thoughts welcome,

D.

Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / Underseat storage - how big is it?
« on: 24 May 2018, 05:34:41 pm »
Hello there,
I'm after a fzs1000 and would like to find out about the size of the underseat storage. I got an Almax III 1.5m, does anybody know if that fits under the seat of the thou? Also when we go touring I take my other half's Almax IV 2m under my seat to lock up both bikes, any idea about one of those?
Any info much appreciated.

For Sale & Wanted / Wanted - Fzs1000
« on: 24 May 2018, 05:27:48 pm »
Hello fellow foccers,

I'm after an FZS1000 (gen I). I've been riding the FZS600 for the past 7 years and I'm ready for an upgrade.

Some thoughts:
- I've been reading through the discussions and seems like Ivanisation is the bees' knees. So if it had been done that would be a big plus.
- mileage reasonable (>50k)
- luggage desirable, although I'd prefer to keep side panniers smaller so I can filter if need be
- colour irrelevant
- location preferably not too far (>100 miles) from West Midlands
- taller screen would also be great, and I'd love an aftermarket can too :D

That's it, can't blame wishful thinking! For now, I'm keeping my eyes peeled.

FZS600 Fazer / Wet grip tyre recommendation
« on: 06 March 2018, 05:43:23 pm »
Hello everybody, this is my first post and I come to you for your wisdom.

I am a 2x fazer fzs600 owner, racked up >30k miles in total and it's now time for new tyres. My mechanic just let me know that michelin no longer supply the Pilot Road 3s in the sizes we need. This is terrible news, I loved them and trusted them with my life having commuted 40 miles a day on them all of the last winter.

Any recommended alternatives?

I tried searching the forum but couldn't find a topic on this, but apologies if I didn't look hard enough.

Any info much appreciated,

Cheers,

D
