Title: Not sure where to post this
Post by: tommyardin on 19 October 2017, 09:56:06 pm
I have a friend who owns a 250cc Royal Enfield Continental GT that has a leak in the Fibre Glass fuel tank, the leak appears to be coming from some where around the fuel cock/tap.
Anyone know of a company in the South of UK (Hampshire maybe) that specialises in that type of repair?

not sure anyone who does the repair - have heard of this happening on fibrglass tanks from the increasing amount of ethanol in fuel
it needs a coating of something like POR15 otherwise it will just keep happening to other areas of the tank.
not sure what the correct stuff is as i have only used por15 on steel tanks

Por15 is now starting to get reports of it failing due to too much ethanol in fuel so not sure it would. Be a long term fix

por15 is even failing!!! - ooh crap best buy a new tank for the chop then as that has a por15 liner (will replace anyhow as its heavy as fuck)
